I’ve been going to Sweet Lulu for over a decade. It’s definitely a staple in the Queen West community. The food is amazing - lots of flavours and options.

I highly suggest getting their shrimp or beef (if you’re into that)

Their Malay sauce is fantastic, as is their Hokkien noodle stir-fry.

The pretty plants in the front window make me smile 🙂

My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. We were just there today! We like to pop-in for lunch when we're in the neighbourhood and craving homely, comforting and delicious food packed with Asian flavours that never disappoint. Our favourites are the thin wheat noodles with the Malay peanut sauce (chicken for my husband and veggies for me) and the Tom Yum soup. It's the perfect combination of umami, spicy and sour and is top notch when served piping hot. The food is always fresh and the staff are always very kind and friendly and we're happy to support this hidden gem. OH! BONUS points because their bathrooms are ALWAYS clean, which speaks volumes about the care and pride the team takes in their restaurant. Highly recommend SweetLulu!

Would love to have the food here again but not at the price you are selling it for. Way too expensive

Really friendly lady behind the counter, it was quiet but absolutely shouldn't have been as the food was delicious for a low price. Highly recommend.

Ordered wonton, beef skewer, calamari, chicken noodles. All of it tasted bland not even salt. It’s hard to do Calamari bad, but mine tasted like straight oil. If you’re old or have undeveloped tastebuds you might enjoy it. The price was good however.

I was a regular at another location near Bay St years ago. I love the make your own noodle dish. There's 5 easy steps, and the food is always delicious. There is quite a lot of food. They also have drinks you can order as well. The restaurant has a small seating area, mostly tables for 2. The washroom is down a flight of stairs.

I was so surprised with this little gem! Went here with the girls for a quick lunch for womens day and I was blown away how wholesome this place was. Only other food place in the area was a&w and we didn't want something heavy. The food was really tasty and made quick! I got the chicken satay 🤤 The lady who works here is really sweet and respectful. The Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk was so sweet/boosting, just what I needed, to be honest. 👌

SweetLulu is honestly one of my favorite places to eat in the area. The dining room is warm and comfortable, wasn't busy, and felt clean and quiet. Beautiful plants inside. This is my second time eating in restaurant, and the quality of food and beverages is consistent. Fast service, I love everything we've ordered to eat or drink, and the staff is very kind. The menu is nice, we especially enjoy the option to build a plate or bowl.
Today I tried the strawberry latte, chicken satay with peanut sauce, and a make your own bowl with chicken, ribbon noodles, and veggies. My partner had a peach latte, chicken fried rice with veggies bowl, and we shared the chicken satay. We felt like the food servings were large, ingredients fresh, and liked the ability to customize. Top notch, I can't wait to go back!

Loved this place when it was in the financial district. Happy to see they have relocated. My go to for quick and easy noodles. Love that everything is customizable. The malay (peanut) sauce with rice ribbon noodles never misses. Fast, friendly, efficient and delicious service.

I stopped by after work on the recommendation of a friend. I’d eaten here before and couldn’t remember if I thought it was okay or not that good, so tried it again. Likely, I’ll never be back.

The service was good. Not over the top, but efficient and friendly enough. The food however, lacked flavor and was very bland. I had the brisket pho and the bowl was small, the broth smelled and tasted like cup-a-soup pho. I’ve literally had pho in a cup that tasted and smelled the same. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but the beef was tough and seemed like it had spent too much time being boiled. The spring rolls are small and expensive for what you get, and the sauce is basically soy sauce and not so great. For a soup with extra noodles, two spring rolls and a ginger ale it was $38. You tip but it’s counter service then they bring it to you. I don’t mind the format, but the top options are a bit rich for that style of ordering.

I did like the seating format. It’s open but also gives you some privacy. It’s quiet and a peaceful place to eat, but I think my memory of the first visit was more towards the not too great skew. A disappointing meal.

This restaurant is above average. I thought the takeout was packaged very nicely. The service was friendly. The laksa soup that I ordered was a highlight. The vegetarian noodle dish was lacking in vegetables but was tasty.

Decent food, I got the curry soup noodles and it was pretty solid. The restaurant was a bit hit for dine-in, though, so I got takeout.
