Great hotel but not great restaurant. A breakfast that a diner cook would have done much better but at a much higher price. Server did not check on us once after we got the food so we could not ask for anything.

Wonderful lunch! The Caesar salad with crispy brussel sprouts and steak was delicious. Had a bite of my friend's Portobello mushroom burger and the salmon on their salad - so good! The hostess was very friendly and welcoming and our server was excellent. Highly recommend.

The staff went above and beyond to make our groups gathering a memorable and seamless experience.

Energetic = NOISY. My daughter agreed as I don't want you to attribute it to my age. Strange meal choices....brie and apple on a burger? Caesar sandwich? Would have like to have seen a regular burger and some normal choices as there were only a few. The $12 piece of cake....really not worth it and, the cake was not a decadent piece of cake. Server was nice and she was efficient for how busy it was.

Booked a table here for lunch with a client & I must say that the ambiance struck a perfect balance between professional and relaxed, making it ideal for client meetings. Service was attentive without being intrusive—our server ensured that drinks were always refreshed and courses were timed perfectly. The menu offered a great selection of dishes, and the quality of food exceeded expectations.

While I have nothing but praise for the staff of the Chelsea Hotel Toronto, I had a troublesome experience while dining with my fiancée at the Elm Street Bar and Lounge.

The pros:
Food was amazing, the steak was cooked perfectly to temperature, and all meal requests (eg. sauce on the side) were accommodated. The value is on par with restaurants of this nature in the area. The dining area was cozy and intimate as well as clean.

Unfortunately, that is where the good side of things end.

The service was good to put it plainly. The drink order was taken swiftly by our server, and they arrived quickly, but he was very much distracted thereafter. When our food order was taken, our appetizer—the parmesan fries—did not arrive. Instead, we only received our mains about 30-35 minutes after ordering. When we expressed our concern about the missing appetizer, we were informed that it was given to the incorrect table. Though we did receive the fries afterwards, it was when we were almost finished our meal. Throughout all of this, he did not check to see if we had any issues or even a new drink order.

Attempts to flag our server to collect the bill were made in vain. Although we consider ourselves patient and understanding diners, it was very frustrating to see our waiter clean tables, help behind the bar, and take new orders prior to clueing up our table and allowing us to leave. In the end, we were approximately 20-30 minutes and several reminders about paying our bill to two different staff before being able to leave.

It's pretty bad when you're relieved to have left a dining experience.

Traffic delayed our arrival, very accommodating. Service was very good, salad main portion size was adequate but seafood ravioli left a bit to be desired.

Located in the rather noisy lobby the food was overpriced and mediocre, oversalted avo toast, undercooked hash and the fresh fruit was the can like fruit salad with two fresh berries in top.

Service was not proactive, had to seek service multiple times. Food was very average. Had a salad with chicken, very little chicken and very dry, barely any dressing. Quantity was insufficient for a dinner meal.

When we first arrived and were seated. We were seated near a rather loud group of men. We asked the hostess to move us to another table, which she did right away. The ambience of the restaurant is very welcoming. We ordered drinks which were great. I ordered the Caesar salad with roasted brussel sprouts and added a grilled chicken breast. It was delicious. My husband had the spaghetti and meatballs. It was also very good. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend.

I met a friend there for lunch and the food was absolutely incredible! I had the Burrata salad with salmon and I will come back specifically for that. It was perfect! The service was attentive while still allowing us to have a great visit and they were very friendly! I had never been there before, but I will definitely go back and be recommending it to others. 10/10

Service was terrible. Ordered a burger and fries for $25. Fries were ice cold - told that deep fryer was broken, they were getting fries from another floor - offered Ceasars salad instead. They could have suggested that before we ordered. Waiter was annoyed that my coworker and I asked for separate bills - he said we should have told him when we ordered. I think he should have asked. Will not return.
