Was really looking forward to trying this spot as I love Mexican food and was craving a burrito! I might have been there on an off day (it was Thanksgiving but there was only one other couple in the restaurant) but my food was really bland. No tomatoes, or salsa--just tofu, lettuce and mushrooms. Perhaps I had to ask about adding tomatoes or salsa? Also, my burrito was rolled so loosely that it fell apart as I tried to eat it. The guac was also disappointing.
I'll give it another chance because the overall reviews are amazing but I was pretty sad at how my food compared to others'. The server was super friendly and lovely!

Delicious tacos and the staff were very nice! There was a big problem with my order because of the uber driver and the restaurant gave me a free drink for the trouble even though it was not their fault. Thanks again!

Have to say one of the better taco spots in the city. Haven’t tried the other locations but this one is worth checking out. They have a small bar on the side for extra toppings. Birreira taco was not too soggy, crispy and very filling. Look at the size of these tacos couldn’t finish them. Warning those grilled hot peppers are spicy.

*update: great food, but not consistent. Had to make this update after several disappointing runs of a usual order. The biggest letdown is the birria. After having the best Birria ever from the Danforth location, recently they forget how to properly dip and grill the tortillas leaving a soggy mess with no crisp, and no cheese sometimes (which is not a Birria then!). Last night Oct 5th the consome looked fine, but was essentially water. Beef was bland, consome weak, cheese was good, tortillas soggy and not cooked properly. One off was a bad night, twice a week apart at different times.... So disappointed *
WOW. Easily the best Mexican place in Toronto.
Everything we've tried is on point. The birria tacos are amazing (I could drink the consome), as good as the best offerings I've had in Cali, south Texas or Mexico.
We do takeout. The tacos travel exceptionally well also, which is a huge plus.

Great authentic Mexican tacos. Love all the salsa/sauce options and fresh lime.
All other burritos can't compare to the marinated chicken and Asada Steak. No other burrito is more authetically Mexican or more tender. This is my new go to for all Mexican cuisine.

The food is fine, but unfortunately the service is terrible. The cashier is unfriendly and rude, and the cooks stare at the customers the entire time they're there, as if someone's calling them, which makes us uncomfortable. It's a shame these employees don't provide a good service to the place they're hired for. I've been there a handful of times, receiving the same thing every time. Terrible. I wouldn't go back.

Never disappoints. Authentic tacos are available here at a reasonable price. Baja and Birria are a standout. There is always plenty of seating and the staff are friendly. Take advantage of the condiment bar.

Had the burrito with chicken, was great. Would have liked if it was a little more spicy but that's just a me problem, tbh. Would def go again if I was in the area

Came in here to try the vegetarian options. We had all 3 that were on the menu - Cactus(Nopal), Marinated Tofu and Mushrooms.
The Nopal and the tofu stood out and was quite delicious - so much so that, we went back for a repeat of the order - couldn’t stop at just one!!.
The salsa bar had ingredients (pickled onions, radish, habanero, lemons) with 3 salsas that only added more flavour, texture and zing to the tacos.
Above all else, Catalina the chef made sure that our tacos tasted great and added some extra love to them :)
Will definitely visit again!

Best burritos
Tacos Moras is an excellent low key Mexican option in the east end. Tacos and burritos are full, fresh and flavourful. The housemade sauces are some of the spiciest and tastiest I've had recently - and keep us coming back for more! Highly recommend the grilled fish and grilled steak.

This used to be my go-to spot for tacos on the Danforth, but they changed the menu recently and now I can't order my favourite Pescado taco! As someone who is GF, I'm left with a battered option I can't eat. The staff are always wonderful and the food was always generous and flavourful, but I'm forced to find alternatives now, along with the rest of my GF friends. Sad.
