We had an amazing experience at Taline. We originally wanted to order two main dishes, but the maître d told us to go with one main dish and add a few appetizers, which was a great idea. All the dishes were flavourful and perfectly cooked. The service was also great.

Excellent experience and they clearly deserved the Michelin guide nod. An exceptional atmosphere and menu that really elevates their cuisine.
You absolutely must have the kibbeh nayeh. The closest thing is beef tartare, but it is so surprisingly flavourful and like nothing I’ve ever had before. A bit of spice, creaminess and bursting with flavour. A must try dish.
Mante and patates were also big recommendations. The flavourful and fatty beef was well balanced with the citrus flavour. A really unique way to have dumplings. The potatoes were definitely elevated and were seasoned really well.
Will definitely have to come back to try the lamb, as I see many people recommending it as one of the best lamb dishes they’ve ever tried

An incredible experience.
We had the 90 CAD tasting menu, and was a truly Michelin star experience.
The menu is based on Armenian cuisine of Lebanon with some modern twists.
Highly recommended

The food was incredible—every single dish we ordered was high quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We tried the Hummus, Fattoush Salad, Gedzou Patates, Banru, and Tsoug (whole grilled fish), and each one was simply outstanding. They absolutely nailed the flavors, making it one of the best meals I’ve had recently. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
The space itself is super chic, and the service was outstanding, making for a warm, welcoming experience. My only gripe is that it’s a small space and quite loud—I struggled to hear my husband, which made having a conversation tough. But the food was well worth it!

Not a good experience - the saving grace is the food and even then it’s not much.
Service - We came on a Saturday night, party of 6. Right off the bat, our server was not the kindest towards us. We arrived late and she offered sarcastic commentary. Did not explain menu items, didn’t really explain the drinks, or really anything about the restaurant. For a Michelin recommended restaurant and the price point, there are certain expectations around service that the server did not meet.
My partner and I did not get the tasting menu but the other 4 members of our party did. However, our server thought it would be a good idea to check in on them the rest of the night. She did not come back to us after our meals were served. Not even to ask if we wanted drinks or dessert! Missed opportunity on her part.
Ambience - I don’t know why every Toronto restaurant and lounge thinks low lighting and loud music are a good combination. There were elderly couples using their flashlights just to read the menu - INSANE. Had to yell across the table just to talk to the rest of our party.
Food - the food was okay. For the price point and Michelin recommendation, we were expecting something mind blowing. If the restaurant has any hope of earning a star, they need to put more effort into presentation and balancing the tastes in their dishes. Everything was oversalted; the steak was overly chewy, the babaganoush did not have its classic eggplant flavour, and the desserts were underwhelming.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. A dinner for two with 2 drinks, a main and an app cost $120+. For that price point, expectations and standards should be high and Taline failed to match.

AMAZINGG!!!
This place is a great combination of middle eastern and Armenian cuisine. I bet they have Michelin star chefs.
Great food. Really High quality.
Amazing staff. We loved the atmosphere.
It would be an amazing location for a cozy, casual, sheik date night. And, also great for a friend/family gathering.
We chose this restaurant completely out of the blue, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. WILL DEFINITELY VISIT AGAIN.
We got the Davar, Imam Bayildi, ASHTA TART….
You should visit before it gets packed.
Cheers

Great food & wine (had the tasting menu with wine pairing). starters very delicious, mains not as special (missed some twist). High noise level, not ideal if you're looking for an intimate evening. Staff very friendly!

The food was amazing and each dish came out better than the next. Our favourites were the mante, lamb chops, octopus and kibbeh nayeh. There were a few times our server rushed us with ordering, taking our glasses away when they weren't done and said bluntly we weren't ordering enough dishes which hindered our experience. What turned it around, was when we spoke with one of the managers to choose a bottle of wine and we had a great conversation with him.
Got the chefs menu. Best octopus dish I've ever had. The lamb chops were delicious. They had some good Armenian wine

Love this restaurant! Keep coming back for the fab food. The fattoush and lobi are great salads. I've heard the fish is great but I order the bavette and confit potatoes every time because they are that good! It was very busy Saturday night so a bit noisy - if you want a quieter experience come earlier in the week. The owners are welcoming and remember you.
