Little expensive but then it is Michelin. However $7 for cappuccino??? Too much Over all a nice experience 😊✌🏼

The large Michelin-recommended sign at the entrance certainly sets high expectations, and in many ways, the experience lived up to that. Service was nearly flawless—attentive, professional, and warm throughout the evening. The cocktails were a definite highlight: creative, well-balanced, and expertly crafted.

The food, while good overall, didn’t quite reach the same heights. A cabbage dish had a lovely sauce, but the cabbage itself felt undercooked and was difficult to eat, with the filling being rather plain. The bureg had a rich, doughy texture, but the filling was slightly too runny and lacked structure. Dessert, though flavorful, was let down by an overly thick tart shell that overwhelmed the filling.

While the meal had strong points and was enjoyable, a few refinements would elevate it to match the Michelin-level promise the sign suggests.

I’ve been wanting to try Taline for a while and we finally tried it, it was not up to our expectation.

Food: we went for the set menu option and they were good accommodating my pescatarian diet. Nothing wrong with the food but nothing memorable either. For similar cuisine at this price point, Laylak or Amal is much better.

Service: Our server the waitress was really great and pleasant (didn’t catch her name). One of the staff guys who brought some dishes and our bill was nice and pleasant too. However the other staff guy who brought couple dishes to the table, every time when he was introing the food to us, he looked at and spoke to only my boyfriend and did not bother to talk to or look at me at all. This felt rude.

Overall the experience was average, there was no highlight of the night.

It was a lovely restaurant with super food, and a very efficient service. Their lamb was very well prepared. And the salad was also fresh. I also loved their Eetch.

I was really excited to try this place, but overall it was underwhelming. It may have come down to personal preference or what we ordered, but the food felt overly rich and the flavors didn’t quite come together. The mantis were bland and seemed to be missing something, and the halloumi dish was soggy and overloaded with bechamel, very different from how it was described on the menu. We only had a few bites and left most of it.

The standout was definitely the prawn dish—perfectly cooked, juicy prawns paired beautifully with labneh and fresh herbs. Unfortunately, the baba ganoush was forgettable and didn’t make much of an impression. The cabbage was tasty but after a few bites you couldn’t eat much more. The fish was good.

While the atmosphere was lovely, food was well presented and the staff were kind and attentive, I wouldn’t return or recommend based on the food alone.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here recently. The food was phenomenal, seasonal and authenic. Some of my favorites were the lamb with this heavenly sauce called jajekh, the fattoush salad and the Kaghamp (braised cabbage). The atmosphere was beautiful yet so down to earth and family friendly. The service was on point, efficient and personalized. Highly recommend.

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. It was just overpriced for what it was. It is definitely worth the experience. The reason I gave this rating is that we ordered the fix menu but the amount of food they provided was less than what we would have ordered individually for the same price. The order mini bottles of wines art expectation was at least on the food menu they don't go cheap.

We had an amazing experience at Taline. We originally wanted to order two main dishes, but the maître d told us to go with one main dish and add a few appetizers, which was a great idea. All the dishes were flavourful and perfectly cooked. The service was also great.

Excellent experience and they clearly deserved the Michelin guide nod. An exceptional atmosphere and menu that really elevates their cuisine.

You absolutely must have the kibbeh nayeh. The closest thing is beef tartare, but it is so surprisingly flavourful and like nothing I’ve ever had before. A bit of spice, creaminess and bursting with flavour. A must try dish.

Mante and patates were also big recommendations. The flavourful and fatty beef was well balanced with the citrus flavour. A really unique way to have dumplings. The potatoes were definitely elevated and were seasoned really well.

Will definitely have to come back to try the lamb, as I see many people recommending it as one of the best lamb dishes they’ve ever tried

An incredible experience.
We had the 90 CAD tasting menu, and was a truly Michelin star experience.
The menu is based on Armenian cuisine of Lebanon with some modern twists.
Highly recommended

The food was incredible—every single dish we ordered was high quality, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We tried the Hummus, Fattoush Salad, Gedzou Patates, Banru, and Tsoug (whole grilled fish), and each one was simply outstanding. They absolutely nailed the flavors, making it one of the best meals I’ve had recently. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

The space itself is super chic, and the service was outstanding, making for a warm, welcoming experience. My only gripe is that it’s a small space and quite loud—I struggled to hear my husband, which made having a conversation tough. But the food was well worth it!

Not a good experience - the saving grace is the food and even then it’s not much.

Service - We came on a Saturday night, party of 6. Right off the bat, our server was not the kindest towards us. We arrived late and she offered sarcastic commentary. Did not explain menu items, didn’t really explain the drinks, or really anything about the restaurant. For a Michelin recommended restaurant and the price point, there are certain expectations around service that the server did not meet.

My partner and I did not get the tasting menu but the other 4 members of our party did. However, our server thought it would be a good idea to check in on them the rest of the night. She did not come back to us after our meals were served. Not even to ask if we wanted drinks or dessert! Missed opportunity on her part.

Ambience - I don’t know why every Toronto restaurant and lounge thinks low lighting and loud music are a good combination. There were elderly couples using their flashlights just to read the menu - INSANE. Had to yell across the table just to talk to the rest of our party.

Food - the food was okay. For the price point and Michelin recommendation, we were expecting something mind blowing. If the restaurant has any hope of earning a star, they need to put more effort into presentation and balancing the tastes in their dishes. Everything was oversalted; the steak was overly chewy, the babaganoush did not have its classic eggplant flavour, and the desserts were underwhelming.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. A dinner for two with 2 drinks, a main and an app cost $120+. For that price point, expectations and standards should be high and Taline failed to match.
