Wow! One of the best experiences I’ve had in Toronto in awhile. Taline is a beautiful two storey restaurant, service was friendly, helpful and an incredible menu. My partner and I were recommended a lovely Armenian wine with the chefs menu and were so impressed course over course. Come hungry, the portions are sizeable and you won’t want to miss a bite. We loved that they didn’t rush us and it felt like we were on vacation for 3 hours. Thank you so much for a spectacular date night!

Incredible! Lebanese-Armenian food at its finest. We chose the affordable curated menu and were surprised with each dish that arrived. Highly recommend wine pairing or a nice bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier.

I was in Toronto for a few days visiting and couldn't miss the opportunity to dine in Taline. This was hands down one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. The food and cocktails were excellent, the service warm, and the atmosphere vibrant. I can't wait to go back!

Taline excels in delivering flavour. The tabule salad was delicious. Instead of using curly parsley; kale is used which is far more interesting than curly parsley anyways. Next, we had the gedzou patates which was an absolute triumph. The confit potatoes had a creamy interior and a deliciously crispy crust enveloped in a spicy dressing of shallot, aleppo and urfa biber. The plate was dotted with a black garlic toum - a creamy, savoury, umami powerhouse of a sauce. The kaghamp is heavily featured on their website and it shines. The humble cabbage is braised, charred bringing out an inherent sweetness that is rarely featured when eating cabbage. This was paired with a tahini sauce that I found a little chalky. The pops of sweetness and texture from the pomegranate were wonderful but the dish craved acidity. My only qualm is that for a dish priced at $26 there just needs to be more. The vochkhar (lamb) was beautifully cooked highlighting the protein. It was served with eetch, a bulgur salad and a yogurt sauce. The dish needed more sauce in proportion to lamb and I did not particularly care for the bulgar side dish. A fun touch was the zataar dusted lemon that brightened the dish!Service was good but slow to start. The actual restaurant is gorgeous. In general, dishes and drinks are listed are higher price point and sometimes do not deliver what you would expect considering the hefty bill. It’s for this reason that I did not give Taline 5 stars.Overall, Taline highlights food rich in soul. Chef Yacoubian honours his mother and reminds us that love and food are so deeply intertwined.

Overall atmosphere and service was pretty good but the food was not that great. for starters half their menu items are not authentically made, the hummus had way to much cumin in it and the Fatoush salad wasn’t even Fatoush it was something completely different. The mains weren’t any better we ordered the steak medium and it came out practically raw, we were also told the steak was 10 oz when it clearly wasn’t it was more like 6 or 7, the chicken lacked flavour and was also very small for the price. All in all, if you’re looking for authentic Armenian food this is not the place to go!

Went to celebrate my sister's birthday and had the Chef's special menu. And food was amazing! Every course had a delightful variety of dishes prepared to perfection. It was very difficult to pick a favourite dish. The only part that we were unprepared for was how long the meal was. Our reservation was at 8:45, by the time we were done, it was close to 11:30.

Went in with high expectations given the reviews. My girlfriends and I were disappointed. We were seated then not acknowledged for about 20 minutes. We had to ask the waiter for water. Then we got passed to seeveral different waiters, we were so confused who was serving our table. Throughout the night more disappointment, after one of the servers was done reviewing the whole menu with us and we wanted to order something specific, they said they were sold out of the option due to valentines day (at this point Valentines day was 6 days ago). And why not tell us before we made our choice? The food was mediocre, yet the price points were quite high. I doubt we will be back

Food was very regular that you can find anywhere in Toronto and it’s overpriced definitely for this kind of dishes. When I introduced myself to manager and asked his name, the manager did not tell me his name and was really rude and unpleasant in conversation with me. Though the rest of the personnel was very nice. Never again in this place.

This place is quite the hidden gem. Some of the best food and cocktails in the city. I’ve been three times now (with friends and a date night with my boyfriend) and I can’t wait to go back! If you go, definitely try the Kaghamp, the lamb, and the espresso martini! You can tell the owners put a lot of love and effort into the place.
