Visited this store last weekend and I had such a lovely experience. There was a tea I bought here many years ago that was discontinued and the worker behind the counter, Antonia was so helpful and committed to helping me recreate the blend by pairing different teas together. She was patient and very hospitable and I really appreciated her help because originally I was just going to buy a single green tea and leave and cut my losses, but she took the time to help me build a similar tea. The result is an amazing blend that I love even more than the original! Thanks so much for your help and wonderful high quality teas, can’t wait to come back for more!

I was delighted with my first experience today at this tea shop. I am a discerning tea consumer and I have been having a difficult time finding an organic Japanese green tea that fit the flavor profile that I am looking for. I was relieved when Marisa immediately recommended two teas when I shared with her what my flavour preferences are. She was very professional, knowledgeable, experienced, and personable. This made the experience for me. For a large city of this size, it can be challenging to find quality teas! I will try my new tea selection soon. I am hopeful that I have found my tea shop for organic Japanese green tea!

Upon arriving today, I was greeted by two lovely ladies, both busy doing other things but stopped and helped me right away. Service and atmosphere 10/10. Just because of how professional the workers were, I will be coming back again can't wait to drive home and try the tea!

As per usual for all my reviews I will be very specific about this review.If you are an intermediate level tea drinker or new to loose tea this company is great. They have an impressive assortment of tea and acceptable quality with fast shipping and great staff. Much better selection than some other tea companies like DavidsTea.If you are a tea head or tea monger, this company may fall short. I advise you to explore the world of tea and try some rare tea companies out there. Not to say this company has bad tea but there are a few better quality teas out there and you may find something better. As an experienced tea consumer, I find that the quality of the flavour of some of the tea here fall short of my more recent expectations for the price they are set at. Tea is a very personal thing like fragrances and you may find satisfaction from the teas offered here. Personally I find some of the tea here a bit on the bitter side compared to the more rare tea in my collection.

This specific location of Tao contains a wide variety of tea's ranging from white, black, green, oolong, red to even the rare yellow tea. You can get normal to very high quality loose tea. This spot seems to be one of the only tea shops in the vicinity that have North Fujian style Silver Needle white tea as most other places have Yunan style. The lady that helped me with picking out tea's was quite knowledgeable on the matter and even knew flavor profiles, steeping times without looking them up and even regionality. Highly recommend
