Ted’s hot dog stand is a Front Street staple, conveniently located just steps away from the CN Tower and Rogers Centre. Whether it’s after a concert, a Jays game, or any major event, you can count on Ted to be there serving up his gourmet dogs. Reliable, tasty, and perfectly placed. A true Toronto classic!

Couldn’t try the food or anything because the older gentleman (I assume the owner) rudely told us the stand was closed and wouldn’t be serving us specifically because we “asked too many questions”. We simply asked if the veggie hotdogs had any dairy/eggs. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re allergy sensitive and definitely wouldn’t recommend based on the treatment.

We both got the spicy Italian sausage.
They way he cuts the sausage allows for the sauces to seep down into the Hotdog and holds onto the onions, jalapeños and pickles better than a hot dog that isn't cut.
These things taste phenomenal. I dream of the day that we drive back into Downtown Toronto and I will be getting that spicy sausage again.
Not only that but it's right under the CN Tower so it provides a fantastic spot to sit and take up the sights.

Very bad experience. It is not clean and when I bought my order it had a musty smell. I returned to him and he told me that this is how he works and I threw it next to the place. I do not recommend trying it and if you happen to buy from him, make sure of everything before you eat.

Is it a hot dog? Yes. Did it blow my mind? No.

These hotdogs were so good! I was expecting a steamed cart hotdog, he cooks it right as we were waiting on a small grill. The bun and the hotdog equally as good.

Best place for a dog or sausage before a Jays game! Dude who runs it is awesome! 😊

As great as any hotdog stand - had 90% of the desired condiments minus mayo. Kind man attending the stand at 2 am in the morning. They don’t have a tip jar, but you can always offer tip. :) enjoyed two luscious hotdogs, no complaints.

Cash-only hot dog stand - had the spicy sausage which was decent but didn’t think it was worth all the hype.

Ok... So this is an odd review. This little hot dog stand in downtown Toronto is open 24x7. The guy manning this thing didn't even say a word. Just stared. I ordered and he went to work. At the end he handed me the dog and didn't even ask for money. So I paid and got change. Not a single word or thank you.

The dog itself was ok. I've had way better on the streets of any other metropolis.

And the vibe was zilch. Nothing going on here.

So I scored it 2 or 3 on all fronts of food, service and atmosphere. But I gave it a 5...lol. There are those iconic spots that are worth the mediocre experience just because and this is definitely one of those. And wherelse are you going to get fed at 3 AM?

A very thick sausage, roasted so black that it was almost like coal. When you eat it, a disgusting taste fills your mouth.
