I really did enjoy this restaurant. The portions were a bit small to share so next time I am hoping I am able to get a dish for just myself. Staff was very courteous and prompt with taking care of us. The atmosphere was quiet and they have a pretty cool soundtrack in the washroom of a person teaching you Italian words but to a soundtrack. I would try it for a chill environment.

Delicious pasta, pizza and steak. Cocktails were superb, but those spinach ravioli stuffed with braised beef was the star of the show. Highly recommend trying for yourself.

Amanda is a phenomenal hostess. Kind, personable & accommodating. Phenomenal vibe & value.
Great place, went for our post engagement party, the servers & manager were the nicest folks, food was great & very friendly atmosphere!
The pasta was fantastic! I didn’t have high expectations since it’s a chain but it was a great texture and well cooked. I’d get the pasta instead of the pizza.

The pizza was so thin that you could see through it and it flopped over like eyores ears. Definitely do not recommend for authentic Italian food.

Paid over 25 dollars for a very thin small pizza, with barely any sauce or toppings. Definitely over priced and unsatisfying.

fresh pasta always tasty but sauce uninspired. Service person forgot our olives and then my wine. I used to think this was a great go to but it is all about the vibe and not great food and impeccable service any more.
Great and a Toronto must. No matter what you order you will not be disappointed. Always consistent. Highly recommend.

As always, the food was DELICIOUS and served perfectly. The service was just as outstanding! Terroni is consistently great food, great service and great value. Love love love Terroni
Been here a couple times and always really good and consistent! Had a great birthday dinner with friends and we enjoyed it all. Our server was great, unfortunately I don't remember their name, but thank you so much! Be back soon
Terroni is one of Toronto’s best-known Italian restaurants for a reason: it delivers that busy, classic, high-energy Italian dining experience with a menu that’s built around simple ingredients done properly. It feels like a real Toronto institution, not a trendy place that will disappear in a year, and it works for everything from a casual weeknight meal to a bigger dinner with friends.
The food is strongest when you keep it classic. Pasta is where Terroni really shines, especially the richer, comforting dishes that feel bold but still traditional. The tonnarelli alla norcina is a great example of what they do well: hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. Seafood pasta is also a strong choice here when you want something that tastes “proper” and not watered down. Pizza is popular too, but this place is best when you treat it like a pasta-first Italian restaurant and build your meal around a couple of pastas and a few shared starters.
Starters and sharing plates make the experience better. It’s the kind of menu where ordering a few things for the table works well, because everyone gets to taste more and the meal feels more “Italian family style.” If you’re going with a group, it’s easy to do: one or two starters, a mix of pastas, maybe one pizza, and a simple dessert to finish.
Atmosphere is a big part of why people love it, but it’s also the biggest thing to be ready for. Terroni is usually loud, busy, and packed, especially at peak dinner times and weekends. The vibe is lively and energetic, not quiet and romantic. If you want a calmer experience, go earlier, go on a weekday, or choose a time that avoids the main rush. In summer, the patio at the Queen Street location is a major plus and one of the nicest ways to enjoy Terroni without feeling squeezed indoors.
Service is generally professional and efficient, but because it gets so busy, the pace can depend on the night. When it’s full, expect a faster rhythm and a more “big restaurant” feel. The smartest move is to plan ahead, especially if you’re going at a popular time, because walk-ins can mean waiting.
One more reason Terroni stands out is that it’s part of a larger Italian food group in the city, so the whole brand feels consistent: good ingredients, strong kitchen identity, and a focus on real Italian-style cooking rather than watered-down versions. If you want a reliable Italian meal in Toronto with a lively atmosphere and a menu that delivers, Terroni remains a strong choice.
