I eat at Terroni's on Adelaide more than any other restaurant in the city. I keep coming back because the staff, like the food, are fabulous.

Greeter set us up at a nice quiet table for my wife's birthday celebration(mentioned 3 times to waitress). Food was delicious, hot and plentiful! No birthday ammenity offered😔 Even though my wife already ordered a delicious salad, the branzino came with a salad even after asking for potatoes.

Had the gluten-free pasta and you couldn't tell the difference. Very cute ambiance and delicious food.

Great food, service and an outstanding wine list with unique offers. Try the Cavallotto Pinner Vino Bianco (what a find). Thank you for that suggestion and discovery. We'll be back Shane

It's too bad. I used to love this place and it appears that it's just not what it used to be. We had patio seating but it started to rain so they stuck us in a tiny little table next to the bread container in the wine cellar room that smelled just as nice as the bathrooms down the hall. The more the place filled up the less my friend and I could carry on a conversation as it got so loud it was hard to hear myself think. About the meal... the only good things about it were the wine and dessert. A dish I ordered so often before was now mediocre at best. $145 later (me only) and I wish I had chosen a different place altogether. Not worth it! So sad.

Wonderful restaurant in historic setting of what used to be the York County Courthouse, with holding cells in basement now doors to wine cellars and washrooms. My granddaughter, 12, loved her gnocchi and I my bolognese!

Fantastic! Food was incredible. Our waiter was wonderful and even gave us a history lesson about this interesting building! Amazing experience overall

My first time here. Fabulous ambiance in an old courthouse with the jail cells downstairs - really cool. The food was fantastic, and we had great service. We didn't wait long for anything at all. The only thing I wish was that the table was a bit bigger for our group and all the food, as we were having to pile up our plates to make room. Aside from that, it was a fabulous evening!

On the eve past, I had the distinct pleasure of dining at a charming establishment by the name of Terroni.
Upon crossing the threshold, I was at once enveloped by an atmosphere both convivial and genteel, with the aroma of simmered herbs and warm bread dancing delicately through the air.
I did partake in a splendid dish of paste-as the Italians so fondly refer to it-tenderly prepared and kissed by a most exquisite sauce that sang upon the tongue like a Neapolitan ballad. Each morsel was a triumph, evoking the rustic splendour of the Old Country.
To accompany this fine repast, I imbibed a glass (or perhaps two) of wine, crimson as a cardinal's robe and rich with the wisdom of age. It warmed the spirit and softened the edges of the day most agreeably.
The service, too, was conducted with the grace and promptitude one would expect in the drawing rooms of polite society. I departed with a full belly and a fuller heart, grateful for the evening's pleasures.
In earnest, I declare: Terroni is a haven for those who delight in fine fare and civil company. A return visit is not only hoped for, but assured.

3 of us ended up here for dinner after walking around Toronto. I'm skipping right to the important part with this review and please read to the end. Our experience soured almost immediately after being seated by a very sweet young man. It continued to worsen and we were actually going to walk out but felt that was the wrong thing to do as we had placed our order. Things continued to become more unpleasant and it was ruining our last night in Toronto. And then... a manager named Oksana came to talk to us. She had heard and seen some of what transpired and said she wanted to make it right. She was so warm, kind and understanding that she not only made it right, I'm writing this review solely based on our interaction with her. When someone goes so above and beyond to improve a guest's experience, it's truly what matters. Was the food good? Yes. Is it quite attractive inside? Yes. Will we remember that in a year? No. Will we remember Oksana? Absolutely 💯! Would I stop in there again if we were in Toronto just to see her? Absolutely. Will our friend that lives here go there again with her family? Yes, she would because of the way Oksana took care of us. If there is one thing I value in a restaurant, it's the experience. Thank you for giving us a much better one. You have a gift for what you do.

Both pasta and pizza are good and authentic. The summer patio is a good addition. Service is always prompt

Food and service was great. Been several times with work.

Get the tonnarelli alla norcina, funghi assoluti, calamari al griglia

As a bonus, they are part of Doors Open Toronto. The venue is stepped in history.

I booked this reservation well in advance to celebrate my birthday with a few friends, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. In my reservation, I specifically requested to be seated on one of the top two floors. Upon arrival, we were told they were closed — something that was never communicated beforehand. Instead, we were placed on the bottom floor, tucked away in a far corner surrounded by bizarre hanging puppets. It felt more like a punishment than a celebration. Had I known the top floors were unavailable, we would have chosen a different day. As the restaurant got busier, the service noticeably declined. Our server was rarely around, and after ordering dessert, we waited over 45 minutes for it to arrive. Our table seemed like an after thought this whole evening. Overall, I regret choosing this spot to celebrate a special occasion. The ambiance was awkward, the service was subpar, and it just didn't feel like the experience we were hoping for.
