Thai Express Restaurant Toronto

I’ve been eating at Thai Express for yearsss! Never have I ever received or ate food in this condition. I ordered Thai Fried Rice with chicken and beef. There was a promo going on for buy 1, get 1 free so I got that. Rice tasted soo bad. Rice was hard, and tasteless. Thai usually comes with tomatoes and pineapple, but I received carrots and green pepper instead and only found 2 single pieces of pineapple and there was no tomato added. I always get the spicy option when I get this same exact food. But the food I received today was very very very spicy if you get what I mean. Like I’m African so I can take spice but imagine getting this food and it was unbearable for me. I couldn’t even taste the food I was eating. All I could feel in my mouth was heattt!! My eyes were teary and nose running!! And I spent a total of $40 on this order (I got the fried rice, with coke drink). I couldn’t eat the food. I have one to my friend but she couldn’t even take a second bite! Never buying from this location again!!!!
Because it’s buy 1 get one free I feel like the food was done with no care at all or whatever reason they decided to make it that way. I’m so disappointed!!!
If you’re buying this food from UberEats, do not BUY from this LOCATION!!

The pad Thai that I ordered was missing tofu. At almost $20 this is unacceptable. I reached out to Thai Express head office for the noodles missing the advertised tofu and they won’t help me and pass the buck to contact Skip The Dishes where I ordered. Since they replied to me with final guidance after the Skip The Dishes window closed (and I wasn’t aware of) I am out $20 for an unsatisfactory meal. At least the University Avenue location has proper people making the orders. Their customer service is horrible they don’t try to make it right for the customer. Will never patronize any Thai Express again.

Ordered fried rice with shrimp. The amount of shrimp included was very sparse compared to the serving of rice. And the rice itself had a terrible greasy texture to it.

The rice noodle dish I ordered was supposed to have green vegetables but there were literally none. Just noodles and protein in sauce. The was the second time this happened at this location so never again. Not sure if other restaurants of this chain also picture their offerings with green vegetables and then don’t serve them. But will not even try. Much better to go to Chinese fast foods like Szechuan etc. Always plenty of fresh veggies there.

Underwhelming portions, ingredients and flavours. It’s a shame because pre-COVID this was a fast and tasty place for lunch. Not sure what happened but it’s gone downhill since.

I waited over 15 minutes and watched 6 orders bought after me get prepared and served before mine, and this was after prompting to make sure my order was in. By the time my very mediocre soup was ready (and served alongside orders #7 and 8) I was ready to ask for a refund. All for something that was 100% prepped and I watched take 30 seconds to finish (added hot soup). Management needs to hire another worker at the very least. Go to any of the other food outlets available on the ground floor. If you have an appointment afterward you will 100% be late.

I don't believe I've had a correct order, I've been more than 5 times, often forgotten is the peanut sauce unfortunately. Opportunity for improvement ! ?

i ordered through uber pick up had to wait 25mins... ppl who ordered way later than me got food first.. when i said something, nothing was done about it also.

Probably the worst pad Thai I ever had.Just a bunch of noodle out from the freezer and straight to the plate. Lots of oh so sweet sauce and bit of soy sprouts.That it.Inedible.

Absolutely disgusting food. Tasteless garbage. The beef that cost extra to add to this meal is not fit for maggots. After paying 16.99 and trying to force myself to eat this absolute slop, I gave up and threw it away. U am not a picky eater. I love all different kinds of food. What I paid for is not edible. Cold dollar store hotdogs are more appetizing then this swill. The weird thing is the food smells good. They draw you in with delicious smells and the fact that they make right there in front of you. Then you bite into tasteless noodles and rotten beef. I hope I do not get sick from the 2 bites I was able to choke down. Stay away from this place unless you want to poison someone

I generally like Thai food, and order it from Uber eat.i received the most horrible low quality General Thai, ever!!!

The Thai Express located in Women's College Hospital is not the best one I've been so far. The service is slow (usually 15-20 minutes) and the quality of the food seems inferior than in other locations. The upside is that the portions remain good-sized and are very filling.

This was my worst experience at Thai express. I have enjoyed Thai express at other places. I ordered a Pad Thai, the server was polite and organized. They took 20 minutes to make it and it tasted pretty bad, 0 flavour, 0 taste and it was just like dry noodle with some shrimp in it. Waste of $$18 and super disappointed with my lunch and I am never be going back, I had to throw all my lunch away. What a waste!!!
