i didnt check reviews before ordering because other locations were always pretty standard.
like every other review i see here, i wish i had checked first. absolutely horrible inedible food. we both feel sick after what we ordered.
he asked for pineapple shrimp rice but for some reason was given tomato instead and said it was awful. i had peanut stir fry and whatever it was sauced with had no flavour and tasted exactly like what was in the other dish. the spring rolls were barely an inch thin and came with literally only 1 teaspoon of sauce, the sprouts inside had a strong iron flavour like unwashed.
the owner obviously doesnt care as they only ask for you to fill out a form on their site but nothing changes. photo of the tomato that should have been pineapple.
the price came to near 50$ but i wouldnt feed this to anyone.
the man at the counter tried his best to communicate but didnt speak any English

Unfortunately my most recent meal (chicken green curry on rice, pictured) and the meal before (chicken pad Thai) did not hold up to other Thai Express locations. The chicken green curry barely tasted like the chicken green curry you'd expect from Thai restaurants and the vegetables and chicken were slippery and overcooked. I had to throw it away. Like other reviews say, save your money (this was about $17 with tax) and go somewhere else.

Got a shrimp roll, there was only one shrimp in it. Could not even eat it as nothing looked even remotely fresh. Waste of $6.58. Also got the Bok Bok bag, the chicken was grey inside. The chicken dumpling was okay. The roll and dumplings come with Peanut sauce and the person gave me Thai sauce instead. When asked for peanut, they seemed annoyed.

It's pretty obvious they're cost cutting because it feels like I was cheated for paying 13 CAD for measly and bad tasting chicken dumplings. There was a delicious peanut sauce on the image in the store but they offered me 2 ml of cheap sweet sauce instead. The workers were struggling to communicate, although I must say they tried their best. A business fails when they mistreat their patrons with poor portion size, taste and quality. You need to approach another strategy, cost cutting will help prevent bankruptcy but will get you out of business in the long run.

I ordered through SkipTheDishes, and while the food was delicious, I was disappointed with the portion sizes—especially the proteins. I specifically added extra battered chicken and beef to my order, hoping it would be enough, but even with the extras, the servings felt small and unsatisfying. It would’ve been perfect if the protein portions matched the quality of the taste, as per my order.
Food was ok, not much flavor. Service is not very friendly. Just ok
If you want to try a good tom yam that someone recommended to you or if you have a hangover and want to cure it with a great tom yam, then bypass this place. The portion for 16 dollars is of course large and looks voluminous, but it is not tom yam, but the urine of a sick dog. I tried to drink a couple of spoonfuls and gave it back... (the money was not returned by the way) In general I don't understand how you can cook the traditional cuisine of your people so badly... in short, I rate the disappointment 0 out of 5.
Very frustrating that the food is inconsistent at this location when do you get it? It’s in a different container, the food has no flavour. It’s frustrating because I’m already home and have to remake it because it taste like nothing. The colour itself is white not brown or caramelized.

Pad Thai = Bland. I ordered medium heat, and there's zero flavour.
DEFINITELY THE WORST PAD THAI I'VE EVER HAD! Never again!
I ordered chicken curry and there was very little chicken in it
The beef pad see ew from this place allowed us to play a new game: SPOT THE BEEF. Both my fiance and I lost because there was not a single piece of meat here.
They also charged 50 cents more before tax than what the menu said. We didn’t make a fuzz about it but its the principle.
You’re better off with their chinese neighbour.
Horrible. We live in the area so we frequent the Dufferin Mall food court often. Over the past years there's been significant decline in customers. Usually nobody. But today we had this craving for pad Thai and we've ordered here before and our expectations weren't high to begin with. We ask if we cut have a combo of shrimp and chicken with a bit of each but no additional cost since we didn't want the normal full amount. Cashier said it was fine but then when we checked the bill she added an extra 5$! So we had to tell her to give us a refund and she handed it to the chef to take the shrimps off. Feels dishonest. We paid $15 and hardly any chicken (as expected)..while the other places like Shanghai 360 had their $8.99 end of day sale. Didn't like the dishonesty. The quality of food is a different issue (see other posts). Check your receipt!
I'm a vegetarian and No. 1 Tom Yom noodle soup is very good choice. I replace the chicken with fried tofu. It tastes very good and the service is also very warm. The worker was very nice, she gave me free hot water because it was very cold outside. I would love to come again soon.
