Wired flavour, missing ingredients. Pad tai very sour, don’t understand why. Not recommended.
I rated the Thai express in Bayview Village with 1 star, now I have to go back to that review and add 2 more stars, because this one in Mount Sinai has set the bar to a new low. I already assumed this Mount Sinai location wasn’t going to be too good, but boy did they surprise me with one disappointment after another. First, the young man taking my order was actually pretty polite. And then comes the chef, who is in a terrible mood, once he’s done cooking my meal, I asked him for lime wedges (which is available at all Thai Express locations), he very rudely and loudly said no, and then walked away, like I shouldn’t even ask. Now comes the chicken pad sew I ordered. It’s bland, all the noodles are sticking together, the chicken is not fresh, and most of them are burnt to charcoal. And there are little to none vegetables in it. I was in a hurry visiting one of my relatives in the hospital, so I didn’t even bother telling them. MTY food group should terminate their franchisee license.

Terrible Pad See Ew. I love Thai Express but not this location. Very bland Pad See Ew, barely any vegetables. Wanted to add fried egg, said they were out of stock on eggs. Service did not ask for spice level. Very disappointed. Also, the noodles stick and detach the first layer of whatever paper plate they are using, beware!

Beyond disgusting RUDE beyond believe and they are in a hospital DO NOT EAT HERE
At the Mount Sinai hospital food court for lunch. The Thai chicken rice was bland and tasteless. Have had better service and food at other places
I have eaten at various other locations and was super delicious!!! So since I found myself @Mount Sinai yesterday(march,19th) I ordered the mango chicken that came out to $18!!!!!!
The chicken did not have their classic red sauce ontop so it was not what I expected!!!
There were very few pieces of bland looking and tasteless brown chicken.... Gross!!!
Am so disappointed that I wasted $18 for absolute NOTHING!!!
I called and no answer!!
They should be ashamed of themselves!!
Worst pad Thai I’ve ever had, told my wife it was actually the worst meal I’ve ever had in my life!
The worst Thai fried rice I ever had. Save your money and eat somewhere else. It was tasteless with pretty much no ingredients but rice!

Usually never leave a bad review to hard working restaurants especially in this economy but making an exception The people were extremely rude ! Worst experience at a Thai express! Just straight up disrespectful! Asked for an extra fork was shouting at me and when I said give me a take away box started yelling! Food was whatever but the experience made it very unpleasant! The fact that they in a hospital makes it even worse some how ! 1 star

Restaurantji Recommends
I am writing this review for this chain of restaurant after having written one, 4 years back, for the University Avenue branch. Nothing has changed. In fact, it has become worse. For 33 dollars, we got two plates full of mounds of non jasmine rice with cornflour thickened carrots and a bit of eggplant with few strips of stringy chicken gravy. This is absolutely shocking. To sell in a busy hospital and cheat visitors of a healthy meal by not providing value for money is nothing more than simple greed. Please scroll through to see the review of the same chain that I did four years back. I am going to take this up with the administrative staff of the hospital.
Ordered the red curry. The sauce was slimy, likely laced with corn starch. Red curry is supposed to be creamy and have a coconut flavour.
Not a lot of chicken and it was cut very thin (portion control as they call it).
They gave me a mountain of rice which I couldn’t eat.
The worst thing is that it cost over $15, for a few bucks more you could get a proper curry at a Thai restaurant.
Avoid this place.

Unfortunately, the worst one that I have been to, EVER!. The food was bland (Beef Pad Thai), it tastes watered down almost, and too sour (and I don't mind sour!). The Lady putting it together for the cook, didn't put all the ingredients listed. And when I told her that she forgot an ingredient, she threw it on top after it was all stir-fried, when I opened the box, it looked like she forgot other ingredients as well. She didn't ask what spice level I wanted. And when I asked for some cilantro, she said "NO" and that was that. And the peanuts she gave me on the side were stale. Poor ingredient quality and not the best service. DEFINITELY WILL NOT GO BACK OR RECOMMEND! ps. I barely write bad reviews, because I understand how it can affect a business, and we're all trying to make it work out here! But if you are selling/making food, please make sure you do some quality control! Especially if a box of noodles is almost $20
