This place has been a staple of ours for many years. Its consistently one of the best meals in the city and the cream of the crop on Roncy. Incredible service, inventive menu, this spot always delivers! We stopped in just for desert late last night as we were reminded why we always come back!

Amazing food and service. This dinner totally made my Saturday. The steak tartare, halibut, steak and salad were all unreal. Only suggestion: maybe go a little lighter on the sugar in the cheesecake - the texture was great, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Daniel was a great server, curated his own playlist of funky tracks to keep us entertained. He was responsive to all our requests, including getting some fries to start while waiting for the mussels. The mussels were fantastic, arguably my favourite ever, coming from a frequent East coaster. The agnolotti was delicious! The chicken was great, crispy and moist. I didn't love the bitter Swiss chard on top, but that's just my preference. Would give the burger a try next time, it looked great coming coming off the line.

Worth noting that reservartions are pretty much mandatory for brunch service or expect >1hr wait time.
Food isn't super innovative but everything they do, they do incredibly well.

The food at this restaurant is very good, but the service is absolutely unacceptable. On two different visits I had the exact same issue with the kitchen closing time, and each time I was given different and completely contradictory information.
The first time, I arrived before 9:50 PM, and they told me the kitchen closed at 9:30 PM. I went back another day, arriving before 9:30 PM, and this time they told me the kitchen now closed before 9:00 PM. It’s clear that they don’t even know their own operating hours. To make things worse, I tried calling on both occasions and no one ever answered.
What concerns me the most is that the same waitress (a bald girl) was the one who gave me the wrong information both times. This shows a serious lack of training, internal disorganization, and zero communication between the staff and the kitchen.
If they don’t fix these issues urgently, they will continue to lose customers. Great food means nothing if the service is this poor and unprofessional.

Food was great!! Such a cute little diner. We both got the guac and bacon benny... delish. I'd recommend doing the half and half with it so you can try the salad and potatoes. Good service too! I'd recommend booking a few weeks in advance because it fills up quickly. :)

Had such a great time at The Ace yesterday celebrating some November birthdays! The food and atmosphere were both excellent, and our server was wonderfully attentive. The standout dish for us? The stuffed red pepper — absolutely delicious! I’ve been here before for brunch, and once again, The Ace didn’t disappoint.

It’s been 5 years since I last dined at The Ace and I’m glad to see that their stellar reputation and their food is as delicious as I remembered! I brought my family from Czechia to dinner and they said their chicken dinner & burgers were by far the best meal they had while visiting Toronto! I’ll have to come back soon 🤍
