Used to be one of my favourite places on Roncy but since it was sold the food quality is really inconsistent and even when it’s good it’s just not nearly as good as what it used to be, especially for the price point.
After searching all over Toronto for the best French toast, I finally found it at The Ace. The thick brioche is perfectly golden and custardy, topped with fresh berry compote, creamy cheese, and crushed pistachios that create an incredible sweet-tangy balance. Every element is executed flawlessly, and the service is outstanding. If you're a French toast lover, this is a must-try!
Came here after reading about the best brunch in Toronto on reddit. Portions are great and I enjoyed my duck confit and wild mushrooms toast. Certainly felt like a treat!
Only reason I'm docking a star is because it felt very heavy and a little exhausting to eat after awhile.
Probably the most unappealing french toast I've ever had lol. The actual toast is good, a bit eggy but well cooked. However, it does come out looking like a very unappetising pile of slop. The mash of whipped cheese and strawberries (which usually sounds like a yummy combo) did not look good here. It was drowning in maple syrup and the mashed cheese ended up overwhelming the lovely toast. Nice cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I'd recommend the mint tea but not this toast for $21 + tax.
One of the best brunch places in town
Our fave on Ronci. Great service. Small but awesome menu. Very good cocktails. Can’t go wrong.
Some of the best food AND best service the city has to offer.
Awesome place with such friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Ask for Dave’s special if he’s working. Check it out 😃
Excellent ! Amazing experience , great little spot with fun music and incredible food and inventive drinks . Had a wonderful friend date while in town and would absolutely go again !
Overall had a good experience, service was really good. The food was 7/10.

Great food and drinks with friendly service and a nice old school atmosphere. Seems the most of the menu stays consistent, but I would be back if they rotated some mains!
The Ace is the IT spot for brunch! Creative dishes, retro dining atmosphere, great music and great staff.
I recommend getting reservations in advance, they are always full. Seating is on the smaller side unless you are sitting at the window in the front. If you have children, park your strollers out in front.
A cozy restaurant, the atmosphere is bustling even first thing in the morning. Ordered the duck confit and bacon ace benedict along with a few drinks. Star of the show was definitely the patatas bravas, I think I could eat a whole bowl of those just on its own. Toasts themselves were good, but flavors were exactly what you'd expect. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I kind of wish the flavors were a little punchier. I'd love to try the place again for dinner.
Great food, absurdly slow service. They also left our burgers on the pickup counter for do long. We were watching. They were COLD when the server eventually brought them over.
I'd say the only knock we have is that the menu is short and doesn't change that frequently. But, it's diverse enough with meat, fish, vegetarian(ish) choices and it's all perfect. The asparagus was the surprise hit of our night.
