The best coffee in Toronto. The barista is an actual, REAL barista. The coffee is sooooooo good; it will be the only place I get coffee from now. I had the perfect temperature and silky foam for my latte. Very smooth and clean finish. I've tried many coffee shops in Toronto and their coffee tasted like they didn't clean the machine, not using dark roast for a latte. The station was exceptionally clean and tidy. It is so freaking difficult to find places that purge the steam wand after use and wipe the steam wand with a side of the cloth they didn't touch.
Nice cafe. Decor is very political but the name is a big giveaway so I'm confused by the bad reviews regarding this ?

High quality coffee beans, good barista and an interesting concept. The prices on coffee are pretty close/same to any coffee spot of this level (I mean, check any nearby coffee spot that is not part of any chain. We're not talking about Tim Hortons here). Beware, the overall rating of The Anarchist is synthetically reduced by review bombing of people who disagree with views of this place, and it doesn't reflect real quality of cafe service in general.
I'm not sure why so many people took it like some personal attack. The place has special atmosphere to it which might sound ridiculous to some, but will most likely not impact your experience anyhow. I don't see barista kicking you out for disagreeing with his views either. Of course anarchy views are a bit exaggerated (its business afterall, and coffee businesses barely have much in common with true anarchy), but that's most likely implied.
