Have walked by this gem many times but oddly had never been. Food was fantastic and atmosphere is very neighbourly and friendly. Service was exceptional with great menu knowledge and recommendations.

Belsize Public House is a warm and inviting spot in the Mt. Pleasant area perfect for a casual night out or drinks with friends. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere strikes the right balance between lively and relaxed. The food was delicious, though a bit on the oily side for my taste. Still, everything else , from the great service to the solid drink selection, made it a really enjoyable visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The burger was raw/bloody in the middle. I didn't have the time to ask for another one, as I was not alone and I was almost done when I noticed it. This was not the first time I've been there, and all other times the food was ok, so I take it as an unfortunate event.

Been to this establishment a few times on my own & also with a friend. Food is alright, service not so much. Especially behind the bar area. They will keep you waiting, showing preference to I guess their more regular customers who sit there yapping with them.
I’ve had to wait far too long on a couple occasions for a menu while seated at a table, my drink order, food & bill took way too long while these other two servers were eating & talking.
And the two somewhat older ladies behind the bar have been extra rude, simply ignoring others to talk about themselves to people sitting at the bar & then each other.
So if you are trying place for 1st or 2nd time hopefully they respect new customers better if they want repeat business

If you enjoy good food and a constantly changing beer menu, The Belsize Public House is definitely a great choice.

The pub is located near June Park and is close to several businesses.

For those arriving by public transportation, there are two bus lines that pass by the pub, and for those arriving by car, there are some private parking lots in the area and paid parking.

The pub has excellent facilities for groups, families, single travelers, and couples, and the staff provides excellent service.

If it's summer or spring and you're bringing your pet, rest assured that they'll be very welcome, as the pub has a patio where your pet can stay with you, and there will be fresh water for them.

For guests with disabilities or reduced mobility, unfortunately, the pub doesn't have many amenities: the doors are spring-loaded, but they don't open or close automatically; The restrooms are located in the basement and don't have grab bars or automatic doors, nor do they have Braille menus.

For families with children, the pub has a kids' menu, high chairs, and a changing table in the restroom.

The menu offers excellent food options, both appetizers and main courses. Their poutine is delicious, and the smores pie is simply incredible.

It's definitely worth checking out and adding to your list of places with good quality and good service.

Cute local pub. Seemed like most of the clientele were locals. Nice patio but the day we were there the wasps were swarming so we had to move inside. The waitress that helped usnwas very lleasant and the food is great and reasonably priced.

A cosy space with chill vibes. The definition of a local place where you are not bombarded with loud music or numerous screens. We were not an easy group but our hostess was amazing and made sure everything was perfect. No photos of the food but the poutine was actually very nice and we also enjoyed our burgers and beers.
They have a long beer menu and are very helpful in suggesting ones you might prefer.

Calamari appetizer almost inedible. Small rubbery pieces with awful breading and a side of old El Paso salsa. Hoser burger tasteless meat. Not properly grilled. Bun (not fresh) fell apart. Will not return until new chef hired who can cook and owners get serious about food.

Drinks have gone downhill. The used to make the best spicy margaritas in the city, but they have changed their tequila, substituted some ingredients without warning patrons that have been loyal.for years. Drinks now seem watered down..😔

I have been eating at this restaurant from day 1 and hope they don't mind the constructive feedback. Everytime I usually eat here, the food and ambiance are great, except yesterday, where I encountered a semi annoying new staff member, and I feel partly cheated for having to pay for the quality of the food i received. The pulled pork sandwich is usually devine except yesterday it was served cold and charred. The fish tacos tasted as if they were void of much fish and were all batter. With so many choices for restaurants in the city, restaurants should know they're only as good as the last meal they serve. Takes years to build goodwill and only one meal to ruin it.
