I ordered a multivitamin two months ago. After one month, I went to the store, and they told me it hadn’t arrived yet but would be available in two weeks. However, it never arrived. Today, after two months, they told me it’s not coming at all and that it’s not available anywhere in Canada if they don’t have it. Not only did they not apologize or take responsibility, but they also lied because I checked and saw that Well.ca has it in stock.
!
Never thought I would get discriminated against from a poc while shopping here, LOL
Dear Big Carrot Management,
I'm writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my shopping experience today. As a long-time customer, I've always felt welcome, but today's encounter left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.
While shopping, I was persistently followed by two security guards - one Asian and one African. The Asian security guard was consistently beside or behind me, even entering the employee area without breaking eye contact. When I confronted the African security guard about their behavior, he denied following me.
I felt targeted and stereotyped based on my skin color. This experience was particularly disturbing given my history of loyal patronage, shopping for myself and customers.
I've brought this incident to the staff's attention and hope you'll take necessary steps to educate your security team about:
1. Racial profiling and stereotyping.
2. Cultural sensitivity and awareness.
3. Respectful customer treatment.
Unfortunately, my family and I will no longer shop at The Big Carrot due to this incident.
I hope you take my complaint seriously and ensure a welcoming environment for all customers.
Thank you

Claiming organic stuff but you can find many many regular items way more expensive than others. Still you will find almost whatever you looking for.
Fav place to shop in Toronto, wonderfully curated selection of healthy product and the produce is super fresh always. Prices are fair for what you get.
ALWAYS TERRIFIC !!!!!!
There are some quality products with reasonable prices. Friendly staff.
Great grocery store with a very good selection of organic food. Better choices than Whole foods and it's local.
It is a great and neat location, with most of their staff having excellent customer service. Neat and well-laid-out store and products
The downs I’ve got about this location is
1. Phone ethics: Don't bother calling, as the mailbox is full, and no one takes calls most of the time. Please, this needs to be improved. Travelling to the store could be an issue for shoppers with hectic lives and work schedules for a problem or question that a representative could resolve or answer over the phone.
2. With the present global economic situation and inflation, it would be well appreciated if some of the products could be less expensive compared to other stores that carry the same products and brand; for five years, I used to get all my produce and some groceries from the Organic Garage. Upon closing all their mid and downtown outlets, one of the employees referred me to the Big Carrot for the continuity of quality products. Unfortunately, I find The Big Carrot more expensive, but what can I do ?♀️, buy? ?
I could have given them a five-star rating, as they sincerely deserve it if these two issues had not existed.

We grabbed some very delicious gluten-free tacos from the market and sat up in the Big Carrot Rooftop Garden - lovely little oasis in the city! Met up with high school friend we haven't seen in wwwaaaayyyy too long and talked for hours, completely undisturbed.
My most trusted health food store!
Nice products
Monday, 7pm July 15th I tried to get a burrito at the Big Carrot deli. The young South Asian male who served me was one of the rudest inept people I have ever had serving me. He made me wait 10 minutes, claiming someone else was coming to make the burrito, and no one did. Then when he made it, he wasn't listening and I had to constantly repeat myself. He also refused to make it correctly and bunched all the toppings unevenly in an anarchic pile even though I asked him to line everything up. The woman behind me was even helping trying to explain that to him. She had issues with him before. We both complained to a manager, but didn't get anything for our poor customer service, nor did they say they would address the concerns seriously.
I had to push for everything and it was exhausting. Don't shop here or the deli.
Good place to buy organic, local food.
