Nice little brunch spot at Jarvis. Patio was really good and was a good option with a group of friends. Service was very slow but it seemed like a lot of people were new and getting trained so it wasn’t that bad. Got the monte cristo sandwich and coffee which was tasty. Friendly owner who came by to say hi to us too. Would come back.

$174 for 3 people. The food was good- steak cooked perfectly, sides were tasty- but there was something lacking. The chef sends the plates out- plain. Very plain. You get what you get. The potato's- good but simply roasted potato's. Nothing else to them. When I go out to eat, I'm looking for something a bit more than I could do myself at home. And that's the vibe of the plate- delicious, but... just something missing. Maybe if they did bread and butter at the table, or had a side that just came with every plate like an elevated coleslaw- just something else.

We dined at The Blake House during brunch on a weekend and ordered Eggs Benjamin (Smoke Salmon Eggs Benedict) and their Blake's Monte Cristo sandwich. I preferred the former. Both come with potato hash and side fruits. I prefer my potato hash more on the crispier side. Overall, food was good. It wasn't super busy inside and they have a nice large patio space that can accommodate larger groups. The building has a lot of character with beautiful Victorian style features. Air conditioning was on and off the day we went and it was a bit humid dining inside but onsite staff were super friendly.
