This diner is local to me and I like coming here with my boyfriend, however the last visit we had wasn't great. I ordered the vegan breakfast with brown toast. Some time after receiving it, I realised the toast had butter on it. I am a server myself, and I'm very understanding about mishaps when dining out. However when talking to the lady, she gave me a condescending attitude and proceeded to teach me how to order my breakfast to make it vegan (the menu item is called vegan breakfast?) and insisted margarine was vegan. This isn't necessarily true but I took her word for it and had a couple bites, before she ran back to the table and acknowledged her error. She came back with replacement toast and said 'dry rye!' somewhat mockingly. I had asked for brown bread at the beginning, but didn't want to push it further.
I'm just writing about this experience to encourage my local diner to have their vegan breakfast fully vegan including toast (and a veggie sausage would be a bonus!)
Vegetarian options: There are a couple of veggie options, but could benefit from more. The vegan breakfast needs to be ordered with plain toast as they do not have vegan butter.

Excellent place if you want to enjoy the fast paced of the outside but remain in a cool and friendly environment. Staff are absolutely lively and nice. Location very convenient. Food is good and affordable for portion size.

It was too warm, too many flies. Price good for the breakfast. The sausages tasted rancid. They were rubbery. Four pieces, but left two and half. Salty potatoes, more wet than crispy, and a very old oil taste. I think the food took less than 3 minutes after order. So do not think it was cooked fresh. Coffee good, but need Splenda. Sweetn low No! $10.99 plus refill coffee. $2.99 Toast ok.
Don't think I would come back.

I arrived on a Sunday morning around 10:30. I was staying at a homestay in the area and on my way to Pearson, with my rolling suitcase. The place was moderately busy when I arrived, with some tables open. I was quickly seated at a window table, with ample room to stow my suitcase out of the way. Service was quite prompt, pleasant, and attentive (with the exception of coffee refills). The servers understood about my hearing disability and seemed to have shared that info among themselves as they were all careful to use gestures or ensure that they got my attention so that I could lip read. Everything on the menu looked delicious and I needed extra time to decide. I got the steak (medium) and eggs. It came with great portions and wonderful food. By the time I was leaving around 11:15, the place had filled up considerably. The decor was fun and the space felt roomy and comfortable. Definitely one of my better dining experiences in Toronto and I've been to the city many times. 12/10 would come back.
Wheelchair accessibility: I did not use the washroom but the entrance is accessible and there is plenty of floor space to maneuver, plus many of the tables have moveable chairs. As noted, the servers were sensitive to my hearing disability without me saying anything about it.

My friend and I had the chance to grab brunch in this bright, charming dinner. Breakfast was fantastic, I ordered the smoked meat benedict; the Swiss cheese and hollandaise sauce was a perfect combination in the meal. My friend ordered the breakfast platter, which offered a great assortment of food. Everything tasted great and the servers are always so friendly!
As a lover of all things breakfast food, I was honestly surprised at how good both the food and service was here! I've been three times now, and consistently had over the top service from both Su, and Ben. Not to mention fantastic (AND AFFORDABLE) classic breakfasts and sandwiches! 100% Would recommend to pretty much anybody lol

Great spot with reasonable prices! The waiter was really attentive, giving us water with our menus and the food was out quick and hot. The fish and chips were delicious, and from the amount of orders around me it seems that the shepherd's pie is a popular pick! I will definitely be returning.

Came on Monday morning for a quick business meeting at 8am. Music was great, food was fast and the server was awesome! She recommended the early bird special and it was fresh and filling. We will see you next Monday Sue!
