Probably the best steak house in Toronto. Everything is amazing and the apps come In separate portions for two people so no sharing of the same plate is required.
Wonderful experience from Butcher Chef again in our return! No doubt one of the best service and food in Toronto. If I am force to complain one single thing, it would be price because it is expensive, but every penny worth it. We ordered Tuna poke as appetizer, Argentina ribeye and truffle ravioli as main, accompanied with mushroom, zucchini and baked potatoes, finishing up with desserts. I wouldn't say one single bad thing about the dinner, only thing is we need to wait for 30 minutes to get seated even we made the reservation and arrive on time. However, we left super happy because of Daniel, and the food. I won't comment much on the food because it is always amazing and always have WOW factor! Butcher Chef will be on the top of my list for fine dining.
Came here for dinner with my wife to celebrate a milestone, originally booked bar seating but then I called and the hostess said we can be seated at a table. Once we arrived they walked us to the enclosed outdoor seating in the solarium which horrendously unprepared for the frigid winter. If we were told the table would be outside, we would have rescheduled the reservation. We asked a few times for a different table where it was warmer, even spoke to the manager, but they were unable to accommodate at all. When you are spending $500+ for a nice dinner, at a nice restaurant, you hope to be comfortable and concentrate on your meal and not the fact that we are numb and shivering. My wife and I were wearing boots and our toes felt numb within the first 20 minutes of sitting even with the blankets they offered us and the one portable heater in the corner. Our server Nicole was wonderful, kind, and gave great recommendations. Do not come in the winter unless you can confirm you will be dining where it's warmer and clarify on the table location. They should have been more prepared for their guests and clarified which table we will be sitting at so we could at least have a chance to reschedule. Leaving very disappointed.
The seven course taster menu with the wine pairing was an extraordinary experience. The best birthday dinner ever!
Another great visit at the Butcher chef. They really took care of us for my wife's Birthday. We have been here a dozen times now and every time is just as good as the last.
The food was amazing. Full of flavour. A little overpriced but worth the try. You won't be disappointed. One thing to be aware of is that this restaurant is attached to a condo building and when the fire alarm goes of at the condo, it goes of in the restaurant as well. It was a little annoying but the staff did their best giving us free dessert and some tasters of the menu without asking.
Beautiful setting once you walk in. We started at the bar for a drink and then made our way to a great table. The service and the food were exceptional.
Amazing birthday celebration for 6 people. The restaurant we t out of their way to make everything perfect❤️
Cosy, intimate, romantic spot for some excellent food. We especially loved how the atmosphere actually matches with the style and expectations of an upscale steakhouse like this.
Highly recommend the pistachio cake for dessert; we were at a loss for words for how good it was.

It was a great experience. Cool and chilled atmosphere with a very professionell and kind service. We enjoyed it! Our favourite restaurant in Toronto.
I’ve been planning this evening for a long time. A dinner like this is something my wife and I can only do on the rarest occasion, maybe once every handful of years, so I really wanted it to be special for us. The Butcher Chef delivered. The decor is intimate and the service is professional, but the 10-course tasting menu was the real highlight. We loved the explanation of each dish and the wine pairings. It was clear how much thought the kitchen and staff put into every detail, and sharing that experience really brought our family closer together. I’m very grateful for a wonderful evening.

Unfortunately our experience at The Butcher Chef didn’t meet our expectations. The pacing of our tasting menu felt rushed and there was miscommunication with the kitchen over a preference vs allergy on our dessert course which resulted in a disappointing modified menu which wasn’t verified with us ahead of time. Steak was delicious however, and our server did apologize and attempt to rectify the shortcomings. Overall, not worth the price.

The food was mostly delicious, especially the steak. The service didn't match the quality of the food, the ambiance or the cost. We ended up choosing the chef's tasting menu and the first 2 courses showed up before our cocktails did, or before we could order wine. We had to ask to slow it down, twice. We asked 3 times for a copy of the menu and ended up getting it from another waiter on the 4th request. We asked to substitute one desert for something non-dairy, after being asked if it was an allergy or preference, we clearly indicated it was a preference only, the waiter changed all our sides from what was listed on the tasting menu to fries and cauliflower, without asking or letting us know. We were then offered half portions of the original sides. The meats were also described incorrectly from how they were listed on the menu. Our waiter was very arrogant.
A meal to remember!! We sat at the bar, Katya was the mixologist and the cocktails were next level. From start to finish the food was fabulous. The tuna, A5 poke appetizer topped with caviar was incredible.. we set the bar high and from there it was one delicious bite to the next. The whole roasted branzino was delicious, seasoned to perfection. If you’re a fan of squash, the side of squash we ordered was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The roasted mushrooms, truffle fries, the greens & herb salad were all fabulous. We ended with a blueberry cheesecake for dessett with a gorgeous presentation. The decor in the restaurant was edgy, eclectic and stunning. If you’re looking for a decadent night out, look no further. Worth every cent!! Thank you!
