It was a great experience. I had never had a seafood boil before and it was memorable. I love how the restaurant's interior is decorated to look like a pirate ship, very creative atmosphere. The servers were incredibly helpful and polite. I will say that it's a bit on the pricier side, especially if you're ordering the lobster boil. Overall I definitely see myself coming back here again!

Disappointing Customer Service at Captain’s Boil – 2655 Yonge St, Toronto
My friend and I were really looking forward to having seafood and had been craving it for over a week. We decided to try Captain’s Boil at 2655 Yonge St, which is only about 10 minutes from where I live. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t start off on the right foot.
As soon as we walked in, we weren’t greeted warmly at all. There was no friendly welcome or smile—just a cold reception. When we were shown to a table, we politely asked if we could sit somewhere else, but the server immediately said “no, it’s busy.” The odd part was—it really wasn’t. There were many empty tables, and it was quite early in the day, so the excuse didn’t feel genuine.
That response really put a damper on the experience. I even turned to my friend and asked if she wanted to just leave. She said, “let’s at least look at the menu.” But after sitting down, my mood had already shifted—I no longer had an appetite, and my stomach didn’t feel great. I asked her again if she wanted to go, and she agreed, saying she also didn’t feel like eating anymore. So we got up and left without ordering.
First impressions matter a lot, and the way a restaurant greets and welcomes its customers is so important. Unfortunately, this visit left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed, and we won’t be returning.

Captain's Boil is all about freshly prepared seafood. I enjoyed my choice of meal which was the Captain's Boil with lobster 🦞 😋. It was so delicious and the place is neat. The service is good and the workers are nice.

Everything was great. Take the captains boil and get more people to come with you. It’s so worth it.

The seafood at Capital’s Boil was excellent! I especially loved the real spicy flavor—it had the perfect kick. We really enjoyed the food overall; everything was fresh and flavorful.
The only downside is that the restaurant is quite small, with just a few tables, so seating can be limited. That said, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better.
Definitely worth checking out if you’re craving great seafood with bold flavors!

Food was good but presentation was very poor & has to be done in much better shape

Wow that was the dirtiest and worst Captain Boil or even restaurant I have been to in a lonnnnnng time. And did I mention how horrible the food was? The sauce was so full of powder and the rice was dripping with oil and the corn was old and hard! It did not even taste like captain boil!
Very filling, the service was so amazing & warm, it was an Indian guy. Right from the phone call we knew he was great and the welcome was amazing. Food was a 10/10 no exaggeration. Thumbs up to him!

So good!!! Seafood was very fresh and the sauce was great. We got a mix of headless shrimp and mussels and I loved both. The guy serving us was very nice and all of the music played was great too. They have sinks at the front.

Staff was amazing and friendly but the quality of food sucks. The cook needs to go….won’t be coming back.
If you’re looking for low grade and a bad quality food with a lot of flavorful add-ons to compensate for the difference, this is the spot. The staff is very friendly so I don’t regret the 1star. The food here is absolutely unacceptable. We stopped in for a lunch during our weekend stay and from the many things ordered in the “pirates meal” we only picked at a few items (French fries, chicken fried rice, and the broccoli) everything else was a waste of money and the seafood wasn’t prepared and handled correctly. I didn’t get a picture of the lobster because we dissected it to see where the “good meat” was. We never found it. The clams were the size of a fingernail, the lobster was mushy and came out in small pieces. The soda fountained and beers were bottled.
Food is very messy to eat overall and the gloves and aprons are not enough for this messy experience. No break for the wrongly cooked food. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone
The design of the restaurant is right for the theme.
I don’t want to leave a review without giving all the credit where it’s due.

By far one of the most disappointing eating establishments that I have ever had the displeasure of wasting my money. A group of three and we ordered the Pirate’s Special. More than enough food but of the lowest quality imaginable. The pound to a pound and a half whole lobster was absolutely of the lowest quality. The lobster meat itself was squishy and just shy of decrepit. Clams were the size of a nickel. The sauce combinations were drenched in oil to the point you could change the Motor Oil in your car. If eating subpar food out of a bag is your cup of tea, even then this place underdelivers by leaps and bounds. The pricing would not be bad if the food was of any half-way decent quality. Thumbs down. A dining delicacy best left to dogs and even then Kibbles and Bits would have been better. The only saving grace was our server Katy who at least somehow managed to keep a smile on her face. The atmosphere was generic and unappealing.

If I could leave no stars I would. We entered at 10:10pm and were told we couldn’t sit down and order because the “section” was closed. We went out to our car and watched other patrons enter the establishment. I watched to wait and see if they came out they did not. So I went in to check and what do you know they were sitting and ordering in the section we were told was closed. The waitress was extremely rude, is she racist or just plain rude and decides who can eat and who can’t.
Disgusting.
