It was my first time coming here, and I absolutely loved it!!! Staff were very friendly and attentive, the service was great and so was the food! It was made to order, so it was hot, fresh, flavourful, just straight up amazing!!!!!!

I love the food here. I’d been to their other locations but by far this location is better. Their sauce is not watered down and the portions seem bigger. The service is good too.

My family visits from Scotland once a year, and our dinner at The Captain's Boil is something we genuinely look forward to as a special, expensive treat. Sadly, this year's visit was a complete disaster.
The problem was the service or lack thereof. We spent over $200, and the entire experience was frustrating. We were a table of five trying to share one crab cracker and two scissors. It was impossible to enjoy the meal. We spent most of it trying to get a server's attention, but the two staff members were overwhelmed.
By the time we finally got the (poor quality) tools we needed, our crab was cold. It's incredibly disappointing when you spend that much money and leave feeling frustrated and let down. This location has severely degraded.

Recently went here to try their All You Can Eat shrimp, mussel and fries deal that they are running until Nov 30th and I have to say I was impressed.

You can try different sauces for each back of the shrimp and mussels and we tried the garlic, captain’s boil and cajun flavours in medium heat and my favourite were the first two! So good!

Service was fast and attentive as well. Would recommend people trying this while it lasts.

Otherwise, you ca try their regular menu items but don’t forget to try their captain’s boil sauce - it’s seriously too good.

My neighbour brought me some shrimp from this location (lemon pepper) I was extremely surprised on how good it was. I went in to this location in person and was served by the most pleasant young lady. The lemon pepper shrimp here is so good, the sauce is red and thick filled with butter and spices. The young lady was so nice and gave my neighbour extra rice. I enjoyed two beers here, although very pricy. I will defiantly go back to this location as the location in Richmond hill is not up to par.

I dont know what happend to Captain's Boil, but it has been really bad lately.
This location was the last location that my family really like, but today we were so disappointed 😞. We ordered a mix of shrimp and mussels in Medium and mild sauce. The medium sauce was chalky and tasted very old, like a t-shirt that has been in your closet for a very long time.
The mild sauce was plain. Very plain. It was like they just added some water to the sauce..

Honestly, I normally don’t write too many reviews but wanted to leave this to warn people. Restaurant was empty after one other table left just before us (Friday night). We ordered the headless shrimp, captain boil sauce. It was so disappointing to go to a chain restaurant and expected similar taste. The sauce was so bland (unlike any other captain’s boil restaurants I have been to), my bag of shrimp tasted like it was made with stale ingredients. The rice was even terrible, sausages were tiny, cut thinly to size of quarters and given like 8 pieces. It tasted like they cheaped out on ingredients, portion sizes and possibly old expired ingredients. Not worth almost $200. Don’t waste time or money at this location.

One star because server was nice.

I've been to plenty of captains boil location and this is by far the worse location in the GTA. The service was alright. The server was super nice and polite however the food was just plain bad. I ordered the dungeness crab with captains boil sauce and medium spice level and the sauce came out without any garlic in it... I was so disappointed as that's what makes the whole sauce. Other captains boil location packs a punch but this yonge and eglington one just plain sucks. I would never come back to this location again.
