Wspaniałe jedzenie, przemiła obsługa.

I have been to the Chef's House a few times before but this visit was extremely disappointing. I had to send my first course back because it was not eatable. Both main courses we ordered were lukewarm. The dessert was a deconstructed Black Forest Cake that was dry and tasteless. In the past it was a fixed price menu so a good value. One of our mains was $26 and definitely not worth that price.

This was a very impressive experience and understanding the concept of training new staff in an upscale environment was very comforting as it establishes the need for patience right up front. All of the staff were very attentive and the food was exceptionally prepared and presented. I will definitely return for another meal.

Great service, small details to improve in the food taste and spice. A better wine by glass options would be appreciated. Overall good price performance especially considering the purpose of the restaurant. Definitely keep coming back for the new recipes.

A lovely evening spent at with friends for our fist visit to the Chefs' House. I loved the fact that everyone working there was either in training or mentoring others in their new careers, be it chefs or servers. Considering this, I thought the service was very good - our server had knowledge of most of the dishes and the wine and was attentive without being overly so. The food was all great and presented beautifully - I had the sea bass and it was cooked really well. Good value for money for the quality of the food. As long as you are here to support these young people in their new careers, while enjoying good food, you will not be disappointed.

Very charming experience! The food was overall very good, excellent presentation, service was very attentive from front of house greeting through until check out. Was everything executed perfectly? Of course not, it's all students who prepare and serve your food, and it was the first day altogether for the team on my visit, I was the first client for those that served me. What I appreciate most is that everyone cared that you were enjoying your experience, and were well looked after. They welcome feedback as well, they strive to improve every day, and it is a place I would be very happy to come dine in again. Very reasonable prices, great ambience, service and you will be well fed.

This was our first time at this student-held restaurant and we had an amazing experience that exceeded our expectations ! The dishes were delicious and very beautifully presented. The person serving was very shy, and made a few mistakes, but it was her very first day as well and her overall attitude was very good. The teachers were there to make sure everything went smoothly! We will definitely come back and recommend without hesitation!

The Chef's House is the best deal in town, good food, great prices, great location and you get to participate in the training of young people deciding to make restaurants their career

Good experience at Chef's House although to be honest i was a little let down. That said, given it's a school for students and at that price, I still think it's worth going to. Service wasn't the best at the start but improved after we got our starters. The food is cooked well and great seasoning but i think it's the pairings that are hit or miss. They haven't quite figured it out yet. My friend had the cold pea soup, we both had the duck and i got the Millionaire dessert. The duck paired with the frittata corn tart was very odd and they didn't balance each other. I was very excited for the Millionaire but chocolate needed more sweetness, and i think caramel overcooked as it didn't taste like caramel at all.

Menu was outstanding - very difficult to decide between dishes. We had a party of 6, and all were pleased with their choices. Price is very reasonable, wine and spirit selections excellent (and also reasonably priced). Music was terrific, and noise level was perfect. Loud enough to feel some excitement, but not overwhelming at all. Highly recomend, and will be going back for sure!

Great food, service and value! We loved that we could support the students in their cooking/hospitality journey. This is a place for individuals to learn so constructive feedback is welcome and valued. Highly recommend checking this place out.

The food was delicious, and beautifully presented. Loved the grilled calamari appetizer and duck breast main course. Our server was mature, knowledgeable and super professional. A wonderful birthday evening out! Well done students!

We go to The Chef's House a lot as it's very near where we live. But proximity is not the main reason we keep going --- good food, fairly priced and presented with energy. The students are often quite charming. Overall, a good experience.

Clean, and comfortable, and conveniently located downtown. The serving staff were friendly and efficient, and the food was served within about 20 minutes. My companion and I tried the jerk pork which was well-seasoned and delicious. My only concern was the small portion size, more suitable as an appetizer than a main course. Therefore, we didn't feel it was value for money.

I organized a 10-person reunion of colleagues who had enjoyed Summerlicious at The Chef's House a few years ago. Pros: The food was outstanding, the ambience was pleasant, and everyone was very nice, including our server Chloe. Cons: These mostly had to do with restaurant policies. (1) They would only allow a maximum reservation of 8, which meant we had to break our party into 2 tables (6 people & 4 people). When we arrived, the two tables were set up a significant distance from one another. We noticed a 4-seat table next to the 6-seat table and asked if we could take it instead, which they agreed to. (2) We were left waiting over 20 minutes after our coffee and desserts were completed with no one approaching our table to ask us if we wanted anything else, or if we wanted the bills. I had to go up to the front to ask for them. (3)They would also not split up the cheques, so we needed to calculate the cost ourselves from the 2 bills provided for the 2 tables and work out e-transfers from the various guests to pay for it all. This was a very different situation from when we had gone to the Chef's House a few years ago, and the management should consider reverting to their previous policies of allowing separate bills and accommodating larger parties.
