The food and service was excellent. All staff and students were very pleasant , accommodating and helpful. It was our first visit and I would definitely recommend the experience. The only suggestion is too change the address to the exact location on Frederick St. Parking nearby Thank you

My daughter and I enjoyed the sea bream and chocolate mousse crème brûlée! We came for lunch on January 23rd, a frigid day. For the first hour we were the only diners and received very attentive service. We will definitely come again. Thank you to the George Brown culinary students and staff!

I visited the restaurant on 22/1/26 for dinner
The manager is rude! Very bad experience!
We were told that we are allowed to split the bill when we do the reservation. However, the manager turned down our request after the meal and talked to us in a very rude manner!
P.S. I appreciated that the witress Caroline is really nice to us 🥰 But the manager ruined everything! He is definitely the one need to be trained!

These are our future chefs and boy do they have some talent! Food presented with flair and cooked with passion. Our group loved the tastes we encountered. Lucky this place exists to teach and share. Please visit

Third time having dinner this week at the Chefs House and with enough variety in the menu there were no repeats . Great value and a wonderful experience helping students gain work experience.

It is so important to provide balanced feedback that will encourage students. First the positive feedback: the lovely person who served my table was terrific. She was personable, patient and very accommodating. She immediately provided assistance because I was unable to use the stairs to use the washroom facilities. This can be a difficult and awkward experience but she was so lovely. She listened as I explained how important this dinner was to me having gotten out of the hospital. The goat and beet salad, sea bass and ginger pumpkin cheesecake were beautifully presented and quite tasty. The carrot coulis was subtle and tasty. Due to dietary restrictions I had a substitution of Brussel sprouts and they were delicious. Constructive feedback: the initial host when I arrived was quite cold and off putting. He seemed to act like I didn't belong there and suggested a seat at the bar. I explained I had a reservation. On a more positive note he did offer to lower the volume of the music when I explained I had a hard time hearing. The portions of food were surprisingly small and for the price point they were not worth the cost. I've been to other student program dining halls where the portions and the pricing were very reasonable. Regarding dietary restrictions, I was surprised to see that they did not have options or substitutions for low carb bread. Again this adds or takes away from the overall experience.

Three of us celebrated a birthday in this pretty, comfortable room on a quiet Monday evening. The food was outstanding - from a delicious bread basket through the mussels app, lamb, fish and chicken entrees and 3 desserts (including a pumpkin cheesecake with a Happy Birthday message written in chocolate). Also a nice, not overpriced selection of drinks. Our main server seemed very new at her job and a little unfamiliar with the menu items - but these are students learning their craft and we had no problem being patient with her. All in all, a lovely evening out.

All around a great experience. Our waitstaff Jay was very attentive and knew how the dishes were made. Mussels and tartare to start and ended with wonderfully crafted red wine reduction pear. Fish was well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Remember that this is a culinary school restaurant so if you hear a professor providing feedback to a waitstaff, that's just part of being in class. You see these budding restauranteurs in action.

Our dining experience at the Chef's table was wonderful. It was our first time dining there and we were extremely impressed with the food, service and ambience. As good as any 5-star restaurant in Toronto. We really en joyed the wine too - which was a collaboration with Niagara College. I will definitely be back!

Always an enjoyable dining experience - with the GBC hospitality students in serving and cooking roles. One of the best kept dining locations in Toronto.
