I had an amazing experience at The Cherie Bistro in Toronto! I ordered the fish and chips for dinner, and it was absolutely perfect — crispy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée, which was rich, silky, and had the perfect caramelized top. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. We went in as a large group of 16, and they were so, so accommodating and helpful when it came to splitting the bill, getting the tables organized etc! The food was great and varied, and they helped create a fun environment for us to socialize. Love this place, special shoutout to LAUREN who was AWESOME!!!

We waited quite a long time for our beers, and when they finally arrived, the draft beer was warm and flat, which was very disappointing. My friend’s bottled beer was also served warm, and the bottle itself had a slight unpleasant smell, which made it even more frustrating. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, but with most dishes priced in the $20–30 range, the value didn’t match the quality. The service from the server wasn’t particularly good either, leaving the overall experience below expectations. The location is excellent, but with issues like this, it’s hard to feel satisfied. This place could become a great spot if improvements are made, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I recently had lunch at this restaurant with friends visiting from abroad, and the welcome was warm when we arrived. However, I found that the waitress was not very friendly, and a smile would have been appreciated. One of my friends, who is a music lover, started singing, and the waitress’s reaction felt a bit cold, almost mocking. In a neighborhood known for being open and inclusive, you would expect a more positive and welcoming atmosphere. It’s a shame this detail slightly spoiled the experience, because the food was really good.

Visited Wednesday for their burger special, and it was such a nice experience! We ordered burgers with sweet potato fries (plus a few other items), and everything tasted great.
The food did take a little while to come out, but the drinks arrived quickly, and the wait staff were friendly, polite, and attentive, which made the wait much easier. Once the food arrived, it was definitely worth it — flavorful and cooked just right.
Overall, we had a great time, enjoyed both the food and the service, and will definitely be back again!

Ordered a beyond meat burger and beer as a part of their Wednesday special. The burger patty was overcooked and bitter. I though it may have been just the parts with the grill marks, but all very bitter. My friend said his veggie patty was also overcooked. I let the staff know. Very unsatisfying meal.
