I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Cherie Bistrot, where I ordered the mushroom risotto. While I was expecting a delicious meal, what followed was far from enjoyable.
Shortly after my meal, I began to feel unwell, and it escalated into a night of throwing up. I suspect that the quality of the food may have been compromised, as I've never had such a severe reaction to a dish before.
It’s disheartening to spend a night in discomfort. I would strongly recommend the restaurant pay more attention to food quality and safety for the well-being of their customers.
Be cautious if you decide to eat there! Mushroom Risotto to avoid ?

Stopped in today for a absolutely delicious, roast beef dinner. The meat was tender, mashed potatoes, fluffy and creamy, vegetables fresh and crunchy. I found the service amazing too! Attentive and caring. Atmosphere, quiet. I loved it there. I look forward to going back soon!

Really great find for a Sunday brunch. I just happened to be walking by and took a chance. Don't judge a book by it's cover. When you open the door, you'll be surprised just how large and nice the ambiance of this diner / restaurant is. I was pleasantly surprised by their menu. They are a great substitute for the defunct Flo's Diner in Yorkville. Great western selection of omelettes, eggs bennie, pancakes and other familiar brunch dishes. Good seating for singles, couples and big parties. Open patio area that let's the room breathe. I ordered a unique eggs benedict (crab cake). It was large and you can't order half size. So, if you're like me, you will want to order a dish that you can eat the next day. I wasn't too keen on the salad for breakfast as I'm traditional and the mixing of hollandaise sauce with my garden salad and fresh fruit. However, the portion was worth the money. Overall a good experience and I would come back to try other dishes.

Happened upon this place purely by scent, and decided to follow my nose. I couldn't have been more right: had the Curry Seafood Linguine, and it absolutely blew me away! The curry sauce was light flavored and well balanced against the fresh seafood, which was generously portioned. The shrimp was flavorful, the scallops were a good size, and the fish doneness was perfect. The linguine was softer than al dente but paired well with the sauce, and even the garlic toast was amazing and buttered on both sides! But mostly, the staff were attentive and amazing...I didn't need any help, but they were extra attentive of the seniors, helped support them on their way to the door, and helped others order a ride. This level of care is rare and definitely to be applauded! Food was also so good I ordered something to go as well. Was very glad I decided to drop in!

Fantastic service and delicious food for breakfast! Our server this morning was very courteous and professional. We appreciated the family washroom with a baby changing station too. Definitely heading back there again to try lunch or dinner.

We stopped on a rainy evening and the atmosphere was really inviting and cozy. The food was fresh and tasted wonderful. My spouse had Fettuccini that was topped with fresh salmon and shrimp. I had the Mediterranean which was a pasta with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, fresh zucchini and onions with a savory Marinara sauce. Topped with fresh ricotta and garlic bread.. wonderful!! Had a nice Merlot to go with it. Finished with a strawberry cheese cake. Service was super fast and really pleasant. We strongly recommend this lovely place in the heart of the Church street neighborhood.
