best cupcakes. love how moist the cake is. my fav is vanilla cake with chocolate icing! I usually find red velvet cake dry but I ordered a red velvet cake from them for a friend’s birthday and the cake was just as moist as the cupcake. I’ve ordered from other popular Toronto bakeries with big social media followings and lots of pretty pictures, but none of them taste as good as The Cupcake Shoppe.

Unfortunately worst experience I’ve had. Ordered cupcakes for a 30th birthday. #3 and #0 From a presentation perspective no creativity whatsoever…empty spaces. The cost $250 I didn’t walk 10 feet to my car, touchiness hatch, gently placed the box on a flat service, cupcakes tumbling over. Back into the store, the young woman at the front defensive and not helpful. “We make it like this everyday”..perhaps but my arrangement is not secure! The baker was a lovely young man, they do however need to be able to problem solve and look at overall presentation. Very dissatisfied and disappointing experience. Not worth the price paid.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the cupcakes from The Cupcake Shoppe. We stopped in on Sunday afternoon and purchased the box of 12 mini cupcakes which were a mix of vanilla and chocolate. We were told they were baked that morning, however when we had them for dessert that night, they were all very dry and tasted stale. The vanilla ones didn’t taste like vanilla; they were quite bland. The chocolate ones did taste chocolatey but were also very dry, stale and disappointing. The service was good; the atmosphere in the shop is welcoming, but sadly, the cupcakes were a huge disappointment.

My son (4) wanted red velvet cupcakes for his birthday. This was close to our house and although not cheap, they looked simple enough for his Spider-Man theme (we put something on the icing). Pluses, they’re gorgeous and the icing is amazing. And I hate icing so that’s saying a lot. Cons, the cupcakes were super dry and firm. Not pleasant at all to eat. Like the layer below the icing was hard. I don’t suspect they were “old” cupcakes because it was only around 1pm. And the “red velvet” cupcakes were just brown It was super disappointing. Won’t go back.

I walk to the cupcake shoppe because it’s in my area. I don’t go there a lot because walking to Yonge street is a long walk but there cupcakes are so good and yummy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Was exploring Yonge and found this hidden gem! What a beautiful store and the woman who helped me and my boyfriend pick out a couple cupcakes was lovely! The cupcakes themselves were incredible especially the cinnamon one they had that day. Will definitely be going back

I tried their new no-bake blueberry cheesecake, and it was amazing! Creamy, light, and the blueberry topping is not too sweet. Definitely worth a try! Highly recommend this place for great treats and great service.
