The Drink - Cocktail & Pizza Bar

The person standing at the door asked me for my ID. I showed him a picture of my passport and he asked me for a real ID to present. After that, tourists showed me their national IDs and he allowed them to enter. I showed him my national ID as he asked, but he refused to let me in and asked me for a Canadian ID. Knowing that many entered before me without an ID or without a Canadian ID. What happened is considered the worst thing that happened to me in Toronto. Also in the first time he told me that this is private place. It seems that the issue is related to race, unfortunately.

I was in town for a quick overnight and my hotel sent me here. Wellesley the bartender was awesome and even took the time to map out a day in toronto for me! Highly recommend:)

The place is super cozy and nice.drinks was mixed professionally.ryan was the guy at the bar and he knew what he's doing, owner need to take care of this guy.First time here but the best place at church st for sure.coming back again

Wellesley gave me some great pointers in touring Toronto and was overall a wonderful bartender/host. Thanks for making the space feel so safe and welcoming, will be back for the drag shows for sure!!!

I only came here because of Lidya, she sold the heck out of this place, we would have not showed up without her and her kindness, brightness and strong personality. She should be bartender / server. From gay bartender to gay bartender, promote her!!!!! She’s a superstar

The food was average, nothing special. The drinks were good, and we actually enjoyed those quite a bit. However, the show was a complete disaster. One of the performers looked like she was either high or drunk. Two performers took turns, and the second was better, but we definitely wouldn’t come back. We’re sorry to say that despite many recommendations, we left disappointed.

Quite possibly the best night out I’ve ever had! super cheap drinks and food, incredible drag, and amazing staff! Special shoutout to my host Ashley, and Brock who completely saved me when crisis hit (I owe him majorly, may all the good karma come back to you Brock!). Everyone was so friendly and I loved the vibe~ When I’m back in Toronto, The Drink will be my first stop :)

We had so much fun as a Bachelorette party, they have several parties Saturday night (7, 9, 11) and the queens were SO engaging and beautiful, in addition to the wait staff, thank you all!
