Update: oct 15th menu pricing update.
Delicious food. Grabbed the stew chicken with steamed veggies and rice and peas lunch special. Service was great and quick. Walked to a near by park to eat as the 2 tables inside were occupied. Will be back again

The food tends to be cheap. The food is cheap because the quality is poor. If one prefers quality, this is not the place.
Substandard quality food. Tilapia is the fish that is served; ewww! The food is extremely sweet and or salty. The stew chicken is sweet, the fried chicken is salty, the tilapia is sweet and salty, and the coleslaw, for a salad, is sweet like candy. Wow! Coleslaw was inedible.
Who are these people cooking for? If you they can truly cook, demonstrate it. The problem with places like this is. They are not willing to change. They don't take criticism well. Critcism is viewed as a personal attack.
Hey, your cooking is unhealthy. Your targeted clientele is prone to hypertension, diabetes and stokes. The high sodium level, the high volumes of sugar and the frying of food cause these issues.
Finally, you would think that if they are continuously running out of jerk chicken and rice and kidney beans, that, they would make more of them. No, not these folks.
Oh, house cleàning is an issue. There is obvious dirt build up.
The food was once acceptable, some 10 years ago.

I've been visiting this location for years, I don't live in the neighborhood nor am I Jamaican, I usually visits the neighborhood every 6-8 weeks on every visit I would pop in for take-out mostly jerk chicken, or Oxtail or curry goat & I always request extra gravy, I'm guessing Jamaicans don't use any graves on thier foods or little to none, because I'd always have to make the request specifically or else when I get to my destination the rice would be try & most disappointed...
However, on my recent visits including today Saturday July 19th 2025 ..
I asked this last there long gold finger nails painting with extensions eyelashes. I ordered Curry Goat I also mentioned to her extra gravy please before went to the backroom to create my order, when she came to give me my order I also mentioned it again & said she only put one spoon & went back to correct my order... When I got home, East of the city I realized she didn't do anything in regards to adding the curry gravy, needless to say it was quite disappointing & I realized each times this has happened to me before it was by the same individual, Not sure what the issue is with this person folleing instructions 💔.... but that was my last visit to your establishment.
Disappointed customer.

I visited on 8/7 around 8pm and was told for chicken options only jerk, bbq and fried were available. When I got home, the chicken was not jerk as I had requested- instead it was some sort of stew with no seasonings (just salty). Rice also tasted like it was burnt and from the bottom of the pot. Good amount of food for $8 but since I couldn’t enjoy it it cancels out the experience

Solid economic food establishment. Happy they had a basic option for myself as a vegan (mix veg cabbage on rice and peas) $8 . My son loves the fry chicken.

Absolutely love this place. Food is always delish, hot and fresh. Make sure to call in advance if you’re looking to get the oxtail as it’s out of this world and is only made on certain days of the week. Cash only. Do not hesitate to try!!

The food is very great like it is a story. Plus, the price is decent. Great place to taste the jerk chicken. Chicken is very hard to pull off esp. marinating for restaurant. But that taste amazing.
