Second day in Toronto. 6:30 pm. I had tickets to my very first hockey game and the Toronto Maple Leafs were playing. I was walking toward the arena when I passed The Fox. The place looked solid, so I stepped inside and grabbed a seat at the bar. The staff were kind and got me settled fast. I ordered a turkey sandwich and it hit the spot in a way only a pre game meal can.
The bartender let me hang around until it got closer to game time. Right before I left I noticed a Blue Jays jersey hanging on the wall. It was held up by something so ridiculous I burst out laughing. That was when I knew this place had personality. Any bar that commits to a display like that earns a gold star from me.
I walked back outside and looked up at the buildings glowing across the city. I stood there for a second taking in the skyline and the cold air. That was the moment I knew Toronto was something else.

James at the door, great guy. Christina was useless! Surprised at how much attitude one person can have when all that was ordered was a gin and tonic! Ask her where the bathroom is and she’ll respond with “it’s that place that has bathroom written above it?”. Horrible girl, don’t think serving should be what she should be going for!

We came here as a group before a hockey game at Scotiabank arena and were pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. While we did have to wait a little, it was totally worth it. Highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich 🤤

The Fox was an awesome pit stop before watch the Sens comeback win over the Leafs, with a slice of vintage and modern vibes. Took advantage of their deal for 5 molson canadians for $25 (beats spending triple at the game). Thanks to Ernest for serving me promptly and taking away my empty cans as I finished them.
