This is a great place to go for an interesting take on South American cuisine. It is actually my goto place on the campus, but the food is not to everyone's taste. Most of the food is suitable for vegetarians and some of it is suitable for vegans. Not everything is to everyone's taste, but I do recommend the arepas, the vegan empanadas, the large spelt/almond cookies if they have them and the spelt biscuits. I really appreciate that they do so much with spelt and almond flours, and you should try the sour dough croissant at least once. You can get coffee, teas, some interesting cold drinks and hot chocolate. The service is good and the staff are friendly, but the prep time is longer than expected, and this place might not be good if you are in a hurry. Much of the menu does not seem to every be available - for example the root soup, and their hours are reduced from what they were a few years ago, and really reduced when the University is not in full swing. This is not a restaurant. It is the basement of a library. The atmosphere is okay, but it will always feel like an institutional basement. This is not the fault of La Taula Verde. They don't control the seating area. It is not that comfortable a place to sit (or maybe I am getting too old), but you can stay there for hours, but don't if you see a line up for food. Now if only someone would repair the TeaBot.

Horrendous service did not accommodate I have allergies to peanut butter they had a yogurt and oat mix I asked them to make me one without peanut butter and she said that they don’t make differentiated product while she had all of the ingredients in the counter and did not bother to make another one. Pricy!
Update to comment here is the picture of the food as well as I asked the employee and they said it’s peanut butter. Please check the image below and do not lie on your response as that is immoral and unethical!

Waited 20 mins for a small iced latte that was $5.60 when no one else was in line. Bad service.

Best experience
Tasty, quick, and some pretty affordable options. Really happy to have this place back open on campus!
The blandest Americano I've ever had.

The arepa with cabbage salad is incredibly delicious. Soft melted cheese and corn with a refreshing salad.

Conveniently located with plenty of seating. Lots of plant-based options to choose from. I enjoyed the vegan empanada that I purchased, although for its small size, I don’t think it was worth the price. I also ordered a latte that could have been better. The service was very slow, but I was treated with so much respect and kindness by the lady who was serving me. She was very understanding and I could tell that she was trying her best to prepare my food as fast as possible.
the vegan burger is amazing
It is difficult to find Latin and delicious food, thanks "La taula verde" for the variety of vegan options, all delicious. ??✨
