My matcha was undrinkable. Took 15 minutes after ordering to receive it with only one person in front of me. Hard to support local with experiences like this. Mind you it was $7 as well.

I was out for a walk through Leslieville when I spotted a sign for matcha and knew I had to stop in. I am so glad I did! The barista who took my order was incredibly friendly and greeted me with a huge smile. She promised the matcha was good, and she definitely wasn't lying… I added a bit of vanilla to mine, and it was absolutely delicious and perfect for a cold day…. The vibe inside is wonderful, with plenty of seating and beautiful artwork on the walls. What really made the experience for me was the music; hearing 'Purple Rain' and 'My Girl' playing in the background made the atmosphere even better. What a fantastic find… I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Toronto!

My wife and I adore The Greenwood Cafe!!!! We have both been in the coffee industry and have lived in Leslieville for 10+ years, and was so sad when our old shop closed down. The Greenwood has been a wonderful addition to the neighbourhood and provides such a wonderful community feel and it’s honestly thanks to the baristas.
Shout out to Ollie and Daniel, who since we started coming in has made every morning so much better. They learned our names, our dogs name, they ask us about work, they remember our orders and engage with customers in a meaningful way. This is the type of service that makes a business successful and keeps people coming back. Thank you for fostering such a warm community Danny and Ollie!
Coffee used is Pilot which is delicious, and the baristas recipe to dial in the espresso is always perfect.

I cannot talk about this place enough. I needed to kill some time in Toronto and get some studying done, so I searched on TikTok and found this café wasn’t too far. When I came in, they had the cutest space with seating in both the front and back of the café. They have plenty of outlets and the best atmosphere for a day of studying.
The coffee was amazing, and I had their pesto mozzarella pastry, which was absolutely worth it. Usually, you spend an arm and a leg at places like this, but their prices were VERY reasonable. The people who served me were so kind and very helpful when I had questions, and overall I left this café in such a great mood.
I 100% recommend it.

Greta ambience, very supportive open mic nights and cute aesthetic! The coffees and pastries are also very good. I particularly enjoyed their butter tarts.

I am picky about coffee and really liked theirs. I had a pastry that was pretty good. Although my friend had one he found underbaked. Lovely place to hang out—lots of seating and super cute. Definitely would go back!

This cafe is a lovely cafe! Jeannie, one of the partner owners, is amazing to work with. I've hosted a few concert type events at her cafe and I've only gotten positive reviews of the atmosphere, food, drinks, and service from my attendees. The staff are very knowledgeable and always friendly. Highly recommend.

I went here on Thursday for the Halloween party. Great atmosphere and service.
Terrible experience! We ordered a non-dairy hot chocolate for my daughter who’s allergic to dairy, and they served it with whipped cream!!! The quiche tasted spoiled, and the “pumpkin soup” was basically tomato soup. Not to mention that our order took forever and came out one item at a time. Definitely not coming back.
My new favourite coffee spot! So glad I found this just in time for fall. It has a cool, cozy vibe and the treats are soooo good. Tried the butterfly pea matcha latte today and OMG. So delicious and healthy too! Will be back with my friends!
*editing to add the soup and quiche were soooo yummy. Perfect lunch on a chilly day. *chef's kiss!
