I usually don't write reviews but whoa this was not good. Picked up an Uber eats order on a Sunday at 1pm so I was hoping for fresh cook.
Ordered the big ass mac. Fried chicken tasted like it was a day old drenched in old oil. Dry and rubbery. The mac n cheese was amateur at best. No taste and grainy. Equivalent to the quality in a KD box.
Coleslaw is awful. It's drenched in the cream mix. The blend made me want to throw up. Not what you'd expect for a side of coleslaw. It was more of a goop with some cabbage mixed in. Came in a box that leaked all over the bag.
Real amateur vibes. Felt like some weird mass produced food buckets doled out into take out boxes.
Not sure how this place has 4.7 star reviews.

The chicken sandwich was great in terms of flavor and value. The mac and cheese is also a really good side. The owner was super nice and even gave us an extra side at closing time.

I will be honest, I used to love this place. Now the food quality went downhill. Not only I find Cartilages in my sandwich as I bite, but it’s also has exsessive amount of fat that no one want to taste. Very disappointed and not planing on coming back again..wasted my gas and money..

They were closed for maintenance last time I went and they don't answer the phone are they open now?
The food is great, service is so welcoming. Loved!
I had the "dutty chicken sandwhich"; had a robust jerk chicken seasoning, fried excellently, and a sweetness from the pineapple to contrast. They ran out of the wedges and there was a small mixup with my drink which was absolutely no problem for me but they gave me a Mac n cheese on the house. Nothing but hospitality and kindness from the staff. It may be intimidating to new customers with the loud music but don't be shy! The playlist is great anyways. I think this is a great place to appreciate Caribbean food/ culture so core to the identity of Toronto right in Kensington market to boot.
