Chicken burger is da bomb! The slaw they top it with is just perfect, and the fries they put on the side are the best kind, fresh cut and crispy, made with slightly sweet yellow potatoes. I'm a huge fan. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. We got the oysters (super fresh), chicken sandwich, steak frite, and strawberry short “cake” for dessert. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the peppercorn sauce complemented it really well. The scones in the dessert were warm and buttery, nice contrast with the cold creme fraiche and strawberries. Homey places like this in Toronto are harder and harder to find, but it always makes my day to stumble across one every once in a while. Will be back frequently.

The food quality here is excellent, especially the dozen oysters! Very fresh and naturally sweet.

We also ordered the roasted eggplant pizza and the roasted half chicken. Both dishes could use a bit more seasoning, especially if you’re pairing them with beer, as the flavours were on the milder side. That said, the lighter seasoning actually let the quality of the ingredients shine, which I really appreciated.

Service was smooth and well-timed. They waited until we finished one course before bringing the next. Even with a full house and only two staffs on the floor, everything ran stably and efficiently. That alone deserves praise.

The vibe was great, and they had a wide range of cocktails and beers. I had the concord grape beer, it was fruity and refreshing, perfect for a relaxed evening.

While there’s room for improvement in flavour intensity, the overall experience was definitely 5-star worthy. I honestly think this place deserves a rating above 4.6, and I’d happily come back again.

Came here for brunch last Saturday and enjoyed the food and the vibes. They have an amazing list of draughts, wines and spirits. But the service was pretty cold. We had a different server at first who was warm and friendly, then when the bartender took over - she clearly didn’t seemed like she didn’t want to be there. After we generously tipped, she took the payment machine after our transaction and had already had her back turned and didn’t say thank you. I always give servers at least 20% - because I am a server and I know what it feels like - but if you’re just not even going to have basic service manners then you don’t deserve it.

In summary, this is a cool spot for a drink.
