Can here for dinner. Arrived earlier than original reservation which the restaurant accommodated. Requested the patio which on day was windowed-up with and open ceiling. Felt like being outdoor but not really. It helped as the evening got colder.
Came during happy hour, it was not clear what was covered under happy hour or not. Originally thinking the mini cocktail and finger food menu at the table were the happy hour menu, it was later clarified only the drinks were under happy hour till 6pm and no food is part of it.
We opted for a shared appy, main and dessert. Had the Popcorn Shrimp Tempura. Was more like fish and chips texture than tempura. It was very tasty though. I’m not a usual shrimp eater but this was very delicious even without the dip.
The other app was the Fried Chicken Lollipops. These I believe were drumstick legs rather than wing part. Fried nicely and also very good. Wish I could have had more but it was yummy. Came with 2 sauces: blue cheese and the other hot sauce which has the heat and not so strong flavor as the blue cheese.
Felt like having comfort food so decided to have the Roast Chicken. Nothing better than gravy and roast chicken. It was a plentiful portion. I usually do not eat potatoes but these little smashed potatoes were nicely textured and perfect along with the gravy. Came with some asparagus the chicken felt brined so it is a bit more flavorful.
Lastly, I wanted to check out the Peach Melba. I guess it is because of the season for peaches, I also was curious was Peach Melba was. Never had it. It was very refreshing. Slices of fresh peaches, nestled alongside with I think raspberry sorbet and then topped with just a right amount of whip cream, a coulis and sliced almonds. I really enjoyed it as an ender to the rich meal.
It’s a nice contemporary decor and ambience.

Good food, good service, great atmosphere. Desserts especially were good (strawberry shortcake panna cotta and the peach melba. We did pre-fixe. Well worth it.

Whenever I have time I go this place to eat their smashed burger. It's so delicious with their beef fat fries. I want to thank Kathy for making my day great and going above and beyond by bringing something not on the menu for me. Thanks to kitchen staff as well for making delicious meals. I hope to visit them soon.

FOOD (brunch menu):
• Mushroom soup: has a weird color and quite salty.
• Corn salad w/ chicken breast: overall it's a good one. Decent amount of chicken breast, it's moist and very tender. 2 pieces of devil eggs and good combinations of flavours.
• Jonese full slam breakfast: sausage is dry and very salty. There's only few pieces of green leaf in this dish.
SERVICE: service is not too bad. It's a big place and not many staffs.
VIBE: very big area and mostly empty. That makes the place quiet and a bit awkward vibe.

The Joneses (Summerlicious experience)
We visited The Joneses for our yearly Summerlicious dinner tradition and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve had in years. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, it was clear that all attention was focused on a private wedding party, and regular diners were treated like an afterthought.
Drinks and appetizers took far too long to arrive, and several cocktails were poorly prepared. Mains didn’t hit the table until after 10 PM—more than an hour after we ordered. The steak frites came out lukewarm, with fast food-style crinkle fries. A guest with a dietary requirement due to pregnancy was given a dismissive response when asking if her steak was cooked to a safe temperature. Even worse, three of our guests including the pregnant one fell ill shortly after returning home.
While the manager did comp the bill, it doesn’t change the fact that this was an underwhelming and poorly executed evening from start to finish. Operational mismanagement was obvious, and although we still tipped the server, we left feeling disappointed and concerned. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

I recently tried Joneses with a group of friends. I ordered the dill pickle and the super deluxe mac and cheese. Honestly, neither of them particularly stood out to me - they were decent, but nothing special.
The black forest cake, however, was a different story. It was good, and definitely worth the wait, even though getting the dessert took an excruciatingly long time.
Adding to the long waits, we also experienced a significant delay in receiving our bill

Food was mediocre. Came here for the happy hour. Drinks were good but food was expensive and mediocre. Had the steak frites from the summerlicious menu. The steak was tasteless if it wasn't for the chimichurri sauce (sauce was good). App and dessert were good but the main was disappointing.

Lunch menu offerings were uninspired (fish and chips, burger, mac and cheese, poke bowl, zzzz) and just decently executed - overly salted in some cases (this from someone who loves salt). Most interesting item, a watermelon salad, was not so much a salad as a range of ingredients on a plate that were cut so that it was tricky to have more than one flavor at a time. Portions were generous and service was professional and friendly. Large seating area inside, but we were sat outside next to construction noise that made it next to impossible to have a conversation. While the restaurant cannot control this, they could have warned us or at least offered to move people inside (music way too loud as well, but they can control that). Given the other options in the area, I am not in any hurry to return.

Was quite a scanty restaurant during my time, I assume it's newer than most. Very beautiful inside with a calm setting. The washroom definitely could be improved but no one goes to restaurants for washroom. Which brings me to the food. I had a pasta with shrimp special. It was sublime! One of the best pastas I've had. It had an awesome sauce (tomatoes, but yet you didn't taste any of the sour or bitterness of the tomatoes as you may with other sauces). Shrimps were quite large so I was shocked at it's portion. Pasta included cheese which complements the meal. Awesome pasta!

We visited The Joneses recently for my wife’s birthday and brought our baby in a stroller. Our server, Luke, went above and beyond—he walked us through the menu and even entertained our daughter while she sat in her high chair. He made us feel incredibly welcome and turned our outing into a truly enjoyable experience.
Management should recognize that this is the golden standard of what a server should be.
For appetizers, we ordered the beef tartare, cheese bread, Caesar salad, and fried chicken lollipops.
• The beef tartare was light and flavourful. My only wish was for a few more pieces of bread to go with it, as the portion is quite generous.
• The fried chicken lollipops were excellent—piping hot, juicy, and served with two tasty sauces: a buffalo-style and a ranch-style.
• The cheese bread was a great side while we waited for the mains—no complaints there.
• The Caesar salad was fresh and did the job.
For mains, we had the half roast chicken and the garlic shrimp rosé pasta, and the kitchen kindly made a small plate of butter pasta for our daughter—something we really appreciated.
I’m usually not a fan of roast chicken, but this one was moist, flavourful, and not dry at all. Probably one of the best roast chickens I’ve had.
The garlic shrimp rosé pasta was also enjoyable, with fresh cherry tomatoes and large shrimp. It came with bocconcini mixed in, but I personally think the dish would’ve been just fine with some Parmigiano on top instead. Still, I enjoyed it.
To top off the night, Luke surprised us with a slice of carrot cake for my wife’s birthday. It was gone in about 35 seconds!
We’re definitely coming back—there’s still a lot on the menu we’d like to try. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here
