The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Yonge + Eglinton

Wow. We went there for my birthday dinner. Just us two. Our server, Stephanie was amazing, informative, attentive and the food was phenomenal. We had mushrooms neptune as an appetizer. Prime Rib, mushroom truffle chicken, and a lovely complimentary and delicious slice of ice cream cake served to me by a voice surely belonging to radio, named Chris if I recall Stephanie correctly. Thank you for a lovely dining experience, my husband tells me we will coming there often (oh goodie! 🥰)

I walked into the Keg and within seconds — literally seconds — I was greeted, seated, and asked what I need in the most polite, genuine way possible. Multiple staff checked in on me, and ongoing attention to my meal, drinks, needs and experimce. You got a new regular ! I just moved in to the area, and wow, I'll be back! Thanks to everyone! 👍🙏🌟😊

Very busy location. Food was ok although the prime rib was not cooked to the correct level we requested and seasoning on the steak was not even. Service was lacking - I understand it was a busy Saturday night, however, our server was very hard to be found even and we ended up having to ask other staff for help; we sit close to the kitchen too so we could see the waiters (including ours) going in and out, but she almost never take a glance at our table to see if we need anything from her. Quite disappointing.

Victoria was great ! She made our night very special and was very accommodating:) we will definitely be back soon

Extremely disappointing experience.

We dined here on Monday, February 16, and from the beginning the evening was mishandled. We were not informed upon arrival that multiple menu items were unavailable due to shortages. Only after attempting to order were we told certain dishes were not available. We asked for more time to choose alternatives, only to be told again a few minutes later that those selections were also unavailable.

This should have been communicated upfront. Instead, we wasted time repeatedly choosing dishes that the kitchen couldn’t prepare.

We eventually ordered the lobster bisque and French onion soup. Both were far below standard — bland, poorly executed, and honestly not reflective of what you would expect from a restaurant with The Keg’s pricing and reputation.

After receiving the bill, we decided to leave and go elsewhere for dinner. The entire experience felt disorganized and careless. It was a waste of our time and money.

Very disappointing, especially from a brand that markets itself as a premium dining experience.

Personally, I think this Keg has the best service in Toronto. Esplanade location might be a tad better looking decor-wise in my opinion, but the service here is second to none. We truly felt welcome and the waitress was pleasant and helpful. The food was typical for Keg, meaning great - but the service itself made this location our favourite. Will be coming back!

Went there last night.
I was seated at the very end of a row of tables, right next to the corner where staff frequently turned while walking through the dining area. I was sitting close to the table and was not taking up extra space, yet staff repeatedly kicked or bumped into my chair as they passed by.
On one occasion, a young male server kicked my chair so hard that it actually shifted position. This happened multiple times throughout the meal and continuously interrupted my dining experience. What was most disappointing was that no one apologized.
Even if they were not the ones serving our table and might not be earning tips from us, that does not justify the repeated lack of awareness and courtesy.
Additionally, we waited a long time before being informed that the steak we ordered was sold out — nearly 40 minutes after placing the order. While our server was polite and the food itself tasted good, the overall dining experience was not enjoyable due to the repeated disturbances and poor communication.

We went there for valentine's day and it was a disaster. They gave us a table that was sticky and had a white circle stain. I got a glass of water and there was lipstick on the glass that wasn't mine. The lamp on the table was broken. The bread they gave us was super hard and to top it off they must have been so busy I didn't even get a stake knife with my meal. Very disappointed valentine's day dinner

We've been to the keg a thousand times. This was the first bad experience I've ever had and im hoping they aren't starting to let things slip.

1. Waited an extremely long time for our entrées. So much so that we were considering just cutting our loses and just paying for our drinks and go elsewhere.

2. Got 2 kids meal sirloins (have had them numerous times) and they were very tiny. Ended up having to give my older son some of my food to supplement.

3. I asked for medium and got what was supposed to be medium rare but it looked like it was going to start moving on my plate.

4. Celebrating our anniversary with my wife that I met at the keg (when she was a cocktail waitress). No mention of the Billy minor pie. (Anniversary was mentioned on the reservation and to our waiter.) Had to ask for one when he asked if we would like desert. Kind of embarrassing (but their delicious).

Like I said, usually the keg is known for consistency. Let's hope this was a one off!

I would say that only problem we had was that we had ordered bread and salad to eat before our food and our food came and we had no bread or salad so we had to eat that with our meal

We loved our romantic valentines dinner at The Keg! Veronica was the hostess without the mostest, she saved the table we requested and the food is always Consistently delivered to perfection. Special thanks to the wonderful servers, including Kelly the stunning redhead. Impeccable 👌🏻😋 We will definitely be back 🙌🏻

We had a table that was covered in salt. Told our waitress about it and she forgot to do anything about it. When she came back she was just going to put down the water jug and we had to remind her. Also, we asked for the fireplace area and asked our waitress if it was working. She said she would ask the manager but probably forgot about that as well as it never was turned on. She asked if we wanted bread and we confirmed we did. Once she brought our dinner (well after the appetizers were brought) we asked about the bread. Clearly she forgot about that as well. Pretty busy and noisy so not the best for a date night. Food was spectacular though, very fresh salad and crisp shrimp. Steak melted in our mouths
