Tried out as wanting to try something a little different than typical breakfast places. Really enjoyed the fusion foods.

Nestled along the bustling Queen St. W, The Kettle beckons with promises of modern Indian fusion delights. Intrigued by the idea of a brunch infused with Indian flavors, I ventured into this busy establishment, albeit not without a prior reservation, as the waiting time can stretch up to 45 minutes. The star of my culinary escapade was the much-anticipated Gulab Jamun French Toast. However, while the concept held promise, the execution fell short. The Gulab Jamun lacked the freshness I had hoped for, giving the impression that frozen alternatives were used. Despite the satisfactory marriage of blueberry compote and Gulab Jamun, the dish failed to deliver an authentic taste worthy of its $24 price tag.In addition to the French toast, I opted for The Kettle Indian Breakfast, which boasted a promising array of flavors. The garlic butter pav, a highlight of the dish, unfortunately, lacked the intended garlic punch, offering a mere semblance of its promised flavor. The masala egg bhurji, on the other hand, delighted with its well-balanced seasoning and the comforting warmth of garam masala. Yet, at $24, the dish left me yearning for a more substantial portion size, necessitating an additional order of pav.Accompanying my meal was a cup of masala chai, a quintessential beverage that did not disappoint in flavor but incurred a hefty $6 price tag for its milky concoction. The overall cost of approximately $80 for two dishes and a beverage left me questioning the value proposition of The Kettle.Despite the culinary shortcomings, the ambiance exuded a pleasant vibe, enhancing the dining experience. The attentive customer service, albeit marred by the oversight of running out of toilet paper in the restroom, was promptly rectified upon notification. In conclusion, The Kettle on Queen St. W presents a mixed bag of experiences. While the fusion concept and ambiance hold promise, the execution of dishes falls short of justifying the steep prices. It remains a viable option for those seeking an indulgent Indian-style breakfast on special occasions, yet caution is advised regarding the value proposition. With improvements in culinary consistency and pricing, The Kettle has the potential to emerge as a staple in Toronto's dining scene.

The food was phenomenal, and the service was great! I was excited to try this place for a long time, and I was NOT disappointed. We ordered a few different items, and they were all delicious. I was very impressed with the Gulab Jamun French Toast and the All Indian Fusion Breakfast! The mocktails were amazing as well. Left me wanting more. I 100% recommend and would come here again! Thank you for the hospitality, the amazing food, and the wonderfully quaint atmosphere.

We wanted to try this place for a while and finally did it. I wouldn’t say it was the best experience as the expectations were high. We were asked to order only from the brunch menu which was disappointing as their dinner menu had much more choices. As a vegetarian, I felt there could have been more choices given the hype. All’s to say, the food was good, new fusion flavours, but not a bucketlist restaurant.

I just dine in the restaurant this afternoon, had a worst experience . The waiter was not even patience and wanted to order everything at once and as soon as we completed the food the waiter wanted us to settle the bill and leave the place.. the food taste was okay not too good and not the worth of the hype!!!!!! Please dont waste your time and money

Never processes the reservation neither online or on call. I have called a couple of times/ made reservation online and at the time of making reservation they say its confirmed but when you go to the restaurant they say no reservation. Very disappointed

Twice we have tried booked reservations - once online and when we reached they said there is no reservation. So the next time we called and confirmed a reservation but then again in the morning they said we don’t have reservation just walk in. What is the point of taking online reservations or phone call if it won’t be reserved and anyone can walk in. Super disappointed.

-The food is good however not sure if the the gulab jamun french toast earns it name right coz it just has one shy gulab jamun -The crowd was bit too loud for a peaceful Sunday brunch.-The website doesn’t take reservation for group of two. But walk in is accepted.-Gratuity of 18% for group of 4 or more is bit too much. Gratuity is usually applied to a bigger group. Table of 4 is pretty normal size everywhere-Masala tea was authentic!
