The 1932 interior is striking! And the grilled cheese sandwich is one of the best I ever had in North America. The apple pie milkshake is nice, not soo sweet, but personally, I don‘t need the big chunks of apples and pie crust in it. My server was very friendly. It‘s not cheap there, but totally worth the money!

I tried to fall back in love with this place, but I haven't been able to after the Milou guy killed the legacy of the Lakeview. I enjoyed it regularly for 20 years and now it's dead to me. They should have changed the name when they alienated their longtime customer base. They tried to go back to their old ways, but the damage is done.

Clubhouse sandwich costs $19! And you have to pay $5 extra for fries or a salad! Side of gravy costs $3!Hopefully the diner is sold to someone that knows how to run one.

I was feeling so strange and insular tonight and JUSTIN was so calm and comforting and accommodating. He moved me to a quieter table, made last minute changes to my order when I forgot things, and was just generally a kind q t pie. Thank you Justin!

A classic diner that's been featured in a whole host of major movie and TV productions dating back to Tom Cruise's "Cocktail" in the 80s to Season 1 of Amazon Prime's "Reacher" with Alan Ritchson, The Lakeview is a fantastic spot to grab a delicious and filling bite to eat in Toronto that's sure to be appreciated by both foodies and pop culture fanatics alike.I had the pleasure of trying the three menu items featured on Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" which are helpfully marked with an "As Seen on TV" emblem on the front-and-back menus. The Cornflake Chicken Sandwich, the Freedom Toast and Apple Pie Milkshake made for one hell of a lunch. While the sandwich and stuffed French "Freedom" toast were delicious, the apple pie milkshake stole the show for me; sweet with a bit of savory cinnamon and real apple chunks it was exactly what I'd hoped for when I read about it on the Triple-D restaurant list.My friend got the cornflake-fried-chicken-and-waffle eggs Benedict which featured a very interesting sauce featuring what we agreed was a citrussy kick at the end of its flavour profile; unique and appreciated. We're on our way back to Belleville as I write this review with a piece of Lakeview's apple pie in a to-go container resting in the back seat, ready to be reheated in the oven at home. If it's anything like their milkshakes it deserves the slow heat of the oven over the air frier or microwave.

I’ve been here twice and both times it was sick. My boy Siraj served us both times and highly highly recommend being sat in his section.

This is a one of one - If we’re talking about compete experience’s this place has it all. I’ve travelled far and wide, but I have never had the pleasure of being served by someone as good as Jason. There’s milestones you reach in life; & Jason’s service that night was one of them. If this man isn’t married yet - ladies come by for a cup of coffee and he’ll steal your heart.Let’s touch base on the beauty that is Jess in the kitchen. Batman and Robin have a thing or two to learn about team work from these two. The food we got that night far exceeded expectations. One might say the food matched the service we got that night. Hard work is hard to find but not any more. If you find yourself on the fence to come here or not - just know Jason or Jess will not only take care of you on the night. But you will leave a better person.
