Too pricy. There are better spots in TO.

Beautiful place, amazing cocktails. I tried the Late Checkout (fernet, coffee, and spices) and it was delicious! I’m definitely returning to try more.

It was such a pleasure to turn up to Ash’s bar top (think I got the name right) in addition to making the most delicious and innovative cocktails I’ve had in sometime, it was a joy and a privilege to watch such a professional at work. This is the first online review I’ve ever left in my life. It was that good.

Have ate before to celebrate a special occasion around a year ago . The Drakes is a place to celebrate elegance and fine dining. When I visited the drakes I got a steak and coffee, and while it was on the pricer side, it's understandable as I see The Drakes as a fine dining toronto resturant. I would recommend if you were to celebrate any special occasions.

Brutal service at the cafe side this morning. Ordered coffees, huevos rancheros and the Benny. Waitress seemed annoyed and disinterested. Food came out surprisingly quickly but that's because half the meal was probably cooked hours ago. Peameal bacon on Benny's and eggs on rancheros were obviously old because they were straight up cold in between the other warm ingredients. It didn't help that the food sat there getting cold in the breeze for 5 minutes while we had to catch our waitress to ask for cutlery before we could even start eating. We didn't have coffee yet so we asked for it then. She must have missed it when we initially ordered which is just a genuine mistake. Regardless, we were done our food before coffee even arrived and she took our empty plates after setting down the mugs. Coffee was great, and we enjoyed the patio. When she brought our bill it was initially $55. Then she said oops and came back with a $67 bill. I think she added the coffees which absolutely should have been complimentary at that point if there were any human decency or consideration for the absolutely brutal service experience. We were then presented with the minimum tip option of 18% which of course is insanely on top of tax. We tipped 10% even though a nickel would have been appropriate. Food was good regardless of temperature. I don't think this is a typical experience here but maybe take this as feedback for improvement. No acknowledgement of any mistakes, no sorry I'll get the coffee and cutlery right over. An apology and quick remediation or ANYTHING at all would have saved the experience. We did not leave happy.

Went out with our neighbours to celebrate a special occasion at the restaurant that they suggested, and though it wasn't my first time at the restaurant it was for my partner. Disappointed in the service. The server ignored us throughout the night, was lacking attention to detail in our order that came out wrong twice and was just rude overall. My partner ordered the "Drake Burger" and the patty was well undercooked and almost raw. We had to send it back, and at the very least the server removed it from the bill. I ordered the bolognese and it was bland. Our appetizers were edible, nothing special to write home about. It was unfortunate that the night was spoiled a bit by the service and food, and I wouldn't suggest spending nearly $200 for awful customer service and food. Maybe it was an off-night for all, but I don't plan on returning

Visited the rooftop bar at The Drake for a work event and it was awesome! Everyone working there was friendly and helpful, and a special shout-out to bartender Ashlee who helped me pick a great drink and remembered it when I went up again. I’d definitely recommend the rooftop bar for a date night too, the covered seating feels romantic and atmospheric.

I’ve never been so embarrassed to bring coworkers here. And it’s funny because this is actually the second time it is kind of happened but this time was so much worse. We had a reservation for 5 PM up on the rooftop. We were attending a conference and they are out of town so I was choosing some iconic places in Toronto to bring them to. When we came in at 4:57 no one was at the stand. I knew our reservation was upstairs so we went upstairs and we were told to go back downstairs to the stand. Sure, so I went back down the stairs to the stand. Two minutes later someone comes out. I said we have a drink reservation for upstairs. She said they’re not gonna be open for another 15 minutes. And that’s all she said. I said well we have a reservation for five. Again nothing Was said to me like “ Oh, I apologize. We’re just doing some additional cleaning. Or maybe why don’t you start in the bar over here and will grab you a drink and then move you upstairs.”

None of that! I come from a background and restaurants and bars, and this was the worst customer service I’ve ever had in Toronto. I did end up taking my team to the other side of the bar, we were the only table, we ordered our drinks and 16 minutes later they arrived. No one came and said do you wanna go upstairs now so when they finally did come back to see if we wanted another drink I got the bill and we went to somewhere else with better service, food and Atmosphere. All to say is this place is no longer iconic and there’s a new generation running these establishments that don’t understand what it’s actually like.

The veggie burger and fries were really tasty and they have a good selection of beers and other drinks. The staff and service was also decent.

A downside is if you're visiting with infants and need to change them. I was visiting with a baby and needed to change the baby in the accessible toilet however there was no changing table so I ended up changing my baby on the floor. Apart from that I had a nice experience here.

I booked two tables of four for a work event with my colleagues for the drag brunch! We were really excited and heard great things. Unfortunately, the lady over the phone made the wrong reservations and booking for 2 people instead of two tables. They couldn’t accommodate us on the day of unfortunately. It was very difficult to coordinate 8peoples schedules, and to finally find a day that worked for all of us, to then not be able to attend because our reservation was not booked properly and people were coming in from out of town. The manager on the phone was nice but I still had to cancel our event which put everyone out day of:/ super unfortunate.
