Always enjoy my time at The Oxley when I am in the Yorkville area. Many thanks for accommodating easier conversation by seating us upstairs. Perfect and much appreciated.
Fabulous overall. The ambience and service were great. Had a bit of sticker shock over the sides and apps, but I know that's where they make margin so I'm not mad or anything it just stands out a bit on things like fries and sardines. The cook was amazing on my main and the crew I was with had a great time overall so stand my my five stars. Great service. My only ding was wanting it to be a bit quicker but I think our server clocked that we all wanted to hang out so I could be wrong. I just get nervous about timing because I gotta get home for bedtime and it stuck out. Super minor gripe though. Maybe also give suggestions on drinks for folks based on what they're ordering? The drinks and food are both so great it seems like a thing where you could say “oh hey if you're getting x to eat how about y to go with it?” Also where else do you get sweetbreads? I don't know if they're aiming for a star but I get it if they are.
Another lovely evening at one of our fave local restaurants! Our server was super. The food was great. Seafood /lobster pie a traditional cold weather comfort meal! Y the half chicken dish very yummy! Highly recommend this pub/restaurant!
Cozy yet classy. Excellent recommendations from prompt servers. Outstanding cocktails. The Berkshire Pork and the Curry were excellent.
Our first visit for brunch and won't be the last (next time I'm back in Toronto, it will be on my list of faves). Loved my Breakfast Board and my husband thoroughly devoured the Full English Breakfast. Prompt, courteous service, too.
Walking into this cozy pub-style restaurant feels like stepping straight back into the UK — the warm wood interiors, the low hum of chatter, and the comforting scent of a hearty breakfast on the grill. I ordered the Full English, and it hit all the right notes — perfectly cooked eggs, crispy bacon, golden toast, and savoury beans that tied it all together. While I did miss the black pudding (the only thing missing for full authenticity!), everything else was absolutely spot on. My friends went for the Eggs Benedict, and the verdict was unanimous: perfection. The hollandaise was silky smooth with just the right tang, draping beautifully over perfectly poached eggs. To top it all off, we paired our meals with dill pickle Caesars — a fun, briny twist on a brunch classic that balanced the rich dishes perfectly. All in all, this spot nails that cozy British pub vibe — hearty, honest food with just enough flair to make it memorable. The kind of place that makes you want to linger over another round (or two) of Caesars.
Lovely and friendly wait staff. Food was delicious! A lively spot so not best for a quiet intimate dinner. We had a great time.
Great little restaurant in Yorkville. Food was good, service was wonderful and allowed us the time we needed to enjoy an evening out
The food was good and our server was great, although I felt that my salad was a bit small for the price - in the end it was sufficient. My friend had the quiche ... she said it was delicious and it looked it !! I had the Scotch egg which is always a winner.
My lamb was chewy and portion extremely small for $39. Mostly a huge potato bar and some chewy lamb on top of it!

Again the fish & chips don't disappoint. The best in the city in my opinion. Great service team Jenn your servers are exemplary.
The service was great. The food was ok. I did enjoy the restaurant. I had the Sunday roast but my Yorkshire pudding was dry. Hard to eat because the potatoes and veg were on a separate plate.
Incredible. Booked my first ever Canadian Thanksgiving dinner - fixed menu $75 pp. Expected it to me a massive amount of roast turkey. Instead received two small sliced of turkey and a slice of potato and some vegetable (boring). Is this how Canadian celebrate Thankgiving? With a diet version? Oh, and they forced you to have dessert. Hate sweet things. Wanted more turkey. Service was very friendly but incredibly slow. Four tables at one stage with five waiting/management staff. They are awesome at talking to each other, less so at working on the tiny amount of tables remaining.
The Thanksgiving menu was a disaster. The traditional roast striploin was raw; therefore, my spouse had to waste more than half of her dish and came home hungry. The main dish came before the appetizer....lol. The cocktails were also average and lacked a strong alcohol presence. Terrible experience and customer service.
Lisa and the rest of the team were wonderful. Love the Oxley's ambience and the food was delicious - we were there for the Thanksgiving supper and none of it disappointedly..it was not only tasty it was also very plentiful! What a wonderful celebration meal!
