Walked and got my ID checked and host said it was good. Then we sat at the bar and were refused to service because we did not have a 2nd ID. Why would I carry my passport with me, so stupid. Profiled us too, since we were the only Hispanics and all the workers were just staring at us.

Not sure what's happened to this place, but as someone that has been coming here for over 7 years I am incredibly disappointed with my experience today.
Showed up on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Was greeted within the next 10 minutes and asked what I want to drink. I said Rye and Ginger. They asked if I wanted a food menu. I said yes, please. Was given the food menu. Looked over it for 5 mins. Put it down directly in front of me. It wasn't until a different bartender flagged me over an hour later asking "if I want another" (20 minutes after my drink sat empty on the bar). This was AN hour after I had gotten the food menu.
The guy who cashed me out was super sweet when I called out the shitty service, as someone who has loved this place for years. The service was not on point tonight.

I've never had an intense issue with cleanliness, from the floors, railings, bars, to the glasses, plates and cutlery, things are usually kept in pretty good condition...but I mean it is a bar, so just keep that in mind!
I've been going here for almost two years, and other than ONE sort of terrible service experience (on a horribly busy night when they were clearly short-staffed), all my experiences have been excellent.
Their menu is perfect, I'm still working through it, but I definitely recommend the Chorizo Flatbread, and their Chicken Fingers w/ Fries. The onion rings are delicious as well!
From the staff, to the beers and the food, I can't recommend this place enough.
The perfect place to grab a couple pitchers, a few plates of food, and watch sports with your friends!

I went with two friends and the food was great! We got the classic poutine, the flatbread, and the wings. However, it was hard to recognize the servers as they were only wearing regular clothes and we had a bit if a hard time getting their attention, but they were very nice nonetheless. The atmosphere was comfortable, but around 7:30 they had a singer with guitar performing over the speakers and it got very difficult to hear each other speak. Otherwise, great food! But maybe I'd come to eat again at a time without live music.

Food is good, prices are amazing for the quality and have good turnaround, but could do well with culture-sensitive staff. Used to be a gay haven but now they are not the enclave they used to be. Need to be a Village extension like they once were.

For years you could count on The Pilot for great Thai Noodles, good service and a relaxed vibe. Now you better be prepared to settle for good service, a relaxed vibe and meh food offerings. One less reason for making the trek to Cumberland.

Attended the Oktoberfest event last night, even though there were no vegan options regarding the Oktoberfest menu, they did have a couple in their regular menu. The flat breads were delicious and the staff were really friendly. Lots of dancing and music. Fantastic party and service.
