I came in last night for a drink on my night off and it was good service as usual. The staff are all very nice here.
Not sure about the other below reviews, but I would recommend this pub. It's located off the subway, is in a nice area, seems newly renovated, and it's a safe place for a woman to have a drink at the bar on her night off. Like what more do you want? I guess some people get out more than others lol.

Very nice pub! I have been back a couple of times now and enjoyed myself with friends and family. I would like to specifically thank Özlem - she and the rest of the staff have been thoughtful and welcoming.

The owner of the place a stout guy speaking Mexican threw me out literally. Name included PUB. Thought some music and dance would be there. I ordered a mocktail without alcohol. A girl reached me and I asked whether there’s any dance floor too. Dance was basically for which I was scouting these so called pubs. She said no. While I spoke to this girl the stout guy asked her what I asked her? She told what I don’t know,. The owner became berserk. Even while I asked what’s the problem, he literally pushed me out. Then I went to Caren’s on opposite side of road where the owner made me forget the bad experience at the earlier restaurant.

Got rejected entry due to showing my UK valid ID (I am English and visiting Canada). They asked for a Canadian ID and would not accept me because I didn’t have any Canadian identification, despite not stating anywhere on their website that they only were allowing Canadians. Poor form considering this is a British pub.

Denied service because I had an American ID. Have multiple forms of ID and a photo of a passport. Quiet Wednesday night and guy couldn’t get off his high horse for a 6 person group. We will take our 200$ tab elsewhere.

This is the best firkin I've been too. The specials and brunch items were all really good, and they were amazing about helping us with our birthday cake.
SOLID. Customer service is excellent. Just sensational. The food is delicious. I love it here. SOOOOOOO cosy.

I was genuinely disappointed by my recent experience at The Quail. Upon arrival, I was not greeted warmly or even with a simple smile. The waiter serving me handled my drink by the rim of the glass, which felt unhygienic and careless. What struck me most, however, was the contrast in treatment. Shortly after I arrived, a white couple entered and were welcomed with a smile and noticeably better service.
When I politely asked the waiter about the disparity in treatment, I was told to leave—as if I had done something wrong simply by speaking up. This response was both surprising and upsetting. I expected a higher standard of professionalism and basic courtesy from a place with such a reputation.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend The Quail and hope they take this feedback seriously to ensure more consistent and respectful service for all guests.

Had a strange and what I would consider rude experience trying to make a reservation here. I've walked by this place throughout spring and thought it would be a nice place for a group of six of us to meet at. Called once to confirm they take reservations and had very friendly service, but when I called to actually make the reservation I did not go through with it because the responses were rude and confusing.
