This is the one and only original Real Jerk Restaurant located in the south east side of Toronto. And was once not too far from me when I was living in the area.
The food is amazing and very authentic and fresh and I have tried a few dishes over the years as this was one if my go to and hangout spots when in the mood for real authentic Jamaican cuisine. One of a king gem! Kind of place that feels like home cooked away from home. From the soups to the full on meals and in house beer, wine and zero %options! We catered for 15 people and everyone loved the quality of the jerk taste. After eating we all promised to back to the “real” real jerk to karaoke the late night away!

I was disappointed with my take away meal today. I ordered a quarter chicken jerk dinner. The service was quick and very nice. My issue was I requested dark meat and still received, white meat which I found dry. I asked for oxtail gravy and only half of the rice had gravy. The coleslaw only had cabbage and lacked dept of flavour. I have had the coleslaw many times and that was not it. I like to support local businesses but I think this was not worth $20.00.
