The menu is uninspired and limited. The food is vastly overpriced and the service was mediocre. I would not waste money here again. Two of us just had salad with overcooked salmon and spent over 100

Very average food. Really noisy at lunch on a weekday.

Fave neighbourhood bistro for lunch or casual dinner, warm & friendly service, reliable kitchen, good cocktails. Spacious room with lots of light thru large windows.

I have been going to the Ruston with family and friends for years and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always relaxing with a wonderful patio in the summer that reminds me of the Mediterranean. The staff and owner are always friendly and helpful. I especially enjoy the jumbo shrimp with eggplant and mozzarella with a glass of pinot and to finish biscotti and a latte. I highly recommend! Keira

Enjoyed a very tasty Fish Fry entree with 2 well-seasoned, medium-sized pieces of breaded halibut, sweet potato fries and purple cabbage cole slaw. Also had the Tiramisu that is made in-house, which was excellent - and I've eaten a lot of Tiramisu! Cappuccino was on the smaller size but was good. My dining partner had the French Onion Soup, Poutine and Chocolate Ice Cream, which they liked. Service was prompt and courteous. A very satisfying dining experience. The decor is very nice. The bathroom was clean but please note that it is located in the basement. I will definitely return to try other menu items.Parking: There are a few Green P paid parking lots very close to the restaurant and you can find free 1 hour parking on nearby streets. Paid street parking is also available.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has lots of tightly packed tables that could be challenging to navigate and the bathroom is downstairs.
