I’m visiting from Seattle (our city’s personality is based on coffee lol) and this place is so, so sweet to visit. The tiramisu is the best I’ve ever, ever had. Sweet, not overly filling or too decadent, just right. The vanilla latte with oat milk and extra shot was 👌🏼perfect balance, no bitterness or overpowering of either or.
The staff are so sweet, so kind and patient. It’s cozy in here, there’s a nice lil low bar seating area to the right. It’s not loud, very relaxing and the lighting is soothing. Definitely beats most of the cafes at home that are minimalistic/photo op focused than actual character.

I must drive by about 20 cafes from my home to Shmooz and I yet I still won’t stop anywhere because this place is worthy. If you are serious about your coffee then you have met their match. Let alone a great selection of wine as well.

Such a neighbourhood gem. Incredibly cozy vibes with lots of wood panelling and a neat, colourful mural. The croissants are fantastic with great flavour and a unique chewiness. The espresso they use is impeccably smooth, and the whole place is run by and staffed with excellent people. It is the quintessential local coffee shop. Can't thank them enough for being in my neighbourhood.
