We have been coming here for Hi Tea for many years and glad they have changed their sandwiches and dessert selection. Much better. They dont give enough creme fraise for the scones but you can ask for more. Service is always excellent and the room is pleasant and comfortable.

We loved the relaxing ambience of the space and the beautiful touches -- lilies on the table, mums on the windowsill, the paintings on the walls. The service was excellent!

Our server Jessica - was absolutely fantastic and very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic experience. All of the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond. Everything was perfect from the presentation, tea and food. We were all pleased with our experience and will be back!!

The Windsor Arms Hotel High Tea was a lovely and very special experience. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. The food was substantial and beautifully presented. The selection of teas was also amazing. I enjoyed one of the nicest teas I have ever had. It was sublime! It was a delightful way to celebrate an occasion or just spend time with someone special.

The vegan menu that is posted online seems like it would be delicious but what they end up serving is bland veggie hummus sandwiches. We requested vegan options in two separate places when making the reservation but upon arrival had dairy milk and dairy cream set on the table. Our server kept offering us dairy despite my partner and I telling them three times that we could not eat dairy. The scones were delicious. But this whole experience was not worth the money. Bland sandwiches and bad service is not worth $85+ a person.

Always love coming to windsor arms for high tea. The tea sets and the tea rooms are the perfect vibe. The hotel itself is gorgeous. They have changed some of the sandwiches particularly the chicken sandwich which was the best!! :( love that they offer iced tea options now for those who dont love hot beverages. I think the food items should be improved especially for $85. The deserts are always meh. Sandwiches used to be better. Scones and quiche are delicious as usual

The Tea Room setting is nothing short of exquisite. The service was prompt consistent, courteous and knowledgeable. The sandwiches, scones, homemade jams and petite fours were delightfully delectable. The Pu-erh Tea exceeded all expectation for flavor profiles, viscosity and and umami tones. I would like to add that my server, Rosie, was more that just kind and pleasant. Her engaging personality added a sophisticated, yet personal and welcoming dimension to the whole experience - thanks for that. I'll definitely be back, as I will make the Windsor Arms a regular stop, each time I visit the great city of Toronto. Thanks for everything.

The room is lovely. The service was good but a little slow. The sandwiches were ok, not great. Smoked salmon was good. Cucumber was ok. Roast beef was not good as the bread was stale. Desserts were good. Scones were excellent. Overall a nice afternoon.

Service was bad, quality was mediocre, too expensive for what is offered

Unfortunately with a reservation we had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. The food was just okay. I have always loved this tea room but was disappointed this time.

I booked this last minute in the area and was seated quickly. I made an error in booking for 2 but I wasn't asked when I was seated, nor at any point thereafter if anyone else was joining. I waited for nearly half an hour before anyone came back to my table (even for water would be nice while ‘waiting'). I didn't stay at that point since I was then running late & didn't want to rush through tea. I have been here a few times and can say in general it's decent. The service has been much better in the past, but perhaps because I went on a Monday it wasn't the best. It also gets a bit noisy in the smaller rooms. The decor is ok. As a rule of thumb, I am always asked about others joining when I arrive at a restaurant so I think this is something they should incorporate to avoid any confusion/changes of plans for their guests in the future.

I truly regret visiting The Tea Room.

While the atmosphere and décor are charming and clearly show the owner’s effort, and the food presentation was beautiful, my experience was ruined by the appalling customer service.

I booked an afternoon tea through OpenTable App, but nowhere did it mention a strict 2-hour time limit. Only after we were seated and opened the menu did we discover this policy. My friend and I hadn’t seen each other in a long time, and after paying the bill, we were abruptly told to leave because “other guests” were coming. The restaurant was only 25% full, with multiple empty tables—including others that could accommodate four people—yet we were not offered the option to move. In reality, we were just forced out.

When I asked to speak with the restaurant manager, no one was available. Instead, the hotel manager came and suggested that we “continue our conversation on the couch in the hotel lobby.” I have traveled extensively worldwide, and never in my life have I encountered such dismissive, disrespectful treatment.

Adding to my disappointment, my friend was initially hesitant to visit because of the low 3.6 Google rating based on 143 reviews. I told her not to judge too quickly—we should try it ourselves. Unfortunately, in this case, the reviews were accurate.

I sincerely hope management takes a close look at what is happening and implements real change. For a place that considers itself high-end, this kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable.

Today, you're not just losing two disappointed customers—you’re losing many potential referrals and future visits we would have gladly made.

The food may be decent, but hospitality and customer service are what truly define a dining experience—and here, they were shockingly poor. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment if you value respect and professionalism.

We had a girls day out afternoon high tea experience with the family, and it was lovely. The table was a little congested for 8, but the service and food/Tea’s were great!

Rosie served us well, helped us with suggestions of tea based on our palate and the fact that I am a nursing mother gave me great caffeine free options.

We most definitely would be making a trip back soon with friends and family! The Windsor Arms Hotel Tea Room, provides the perfect ambiance and menu options for Vegan, Vegetarian and Meat eaters.

The Quiche, Sandwiches, Jams and desserts were the best!

Definite recommend for a lovely afternoon experience with the ladies!
