Torontoās oldest bar and also apparently its worst. We were seated for almost 20 minutes with no service whatsoever. It was a Monday night and not very busy so the staff were able to give us an awkward look as we finally walked out. Never experienced anything like it.

Loved it in here, we visited around 4 times during our holiday, we sat outside most of the time, fantastic spot to people watch. We were in for the live band karaoke night too - great atmosphere and very busy

My wife and I had a great time. Our server was nice. The patio was great. And I've never said this I'm my life, but the fries were truly Amazing. Went early on a Friday evening.

Itās very rare for me to leave a negative review, especially for Canadian establishments, as I genuinely support local businesses.
However, I had an unfortunate experience here just 30 minutes ago, after leaving the Jays game. My girlfriend and I stopped by hoping to enjoy a drink and an early dinner. She recommended the place, but we were immediately met with unnecessary rudeness from the door staff.
My partner had less than a quarter of water left in her bottle ā and while we completely understand the policy of not bringing outside drinks inside, the way it was handled was unacceptable. She placed the bottle on a nearby table where several other empty bottles were already sitting, and the staff gave us a sharp look and snapped, āGarbage is outside.ā
We didnāt want to make a scene, so we quietly walked away. Both of us are polite professionals who always treat others with respect ā and we expect the same in return.
Sadly, that brief interaction was enough to ensure we wonāt be returning.

I love the wheatsheaf. Prices are a bit steep but it is always a good vibe.

Oldest bar in Toronto. Come for that and the drinks, not the food.
BLACKLIST (((
My boyfriend and I were going to check this spot out on Saturday night (June 14). But the door guy killed any desire to come inside.
Well, when I go to a pub/bar I expect at least a bit of courtesyānot to be made to feel unwelcome right at the entrance. Maybe thatās just how this place runs things, but sorry, i believe, there should be a nice person with a smile at the entrance, not a grumpy man with a heavy life stamp on his face and the mood to match), so it's on my blacklist.
If Iām spending my money somewhere, I want to feel welcome & well trited. If thatās not a priority for the establishment, then Iād rather go somewhere that values their guests' comfort. Luckely, downtown has no shortage of pubs with great beer and much better vibes.
They are super friendly, They deserve even more
Great place to pop in and have a few drinks and listen to live music. Didnāt eat, but the food looked good.
Enda took care of us and he was awesome, super friendly and helpful.
My first time coming here and I will say I am super picky but the Irish bartender forgot his name was super nice! I got a really dirty martini (super particular) and it was amazing. We ordered the wings as it was on special and they were PHENOMENAL! Super crispy and flavourful! Will definitely come back!
