The restaurant has such a great vibe to it. It is cozy and has a nice ambience though we didn't go at night. The food was good and the service was good too. We would definitely go back. ☺️

This pub has the best Guinness in Toronto. However, it's $12/pint.
The food is a bit pricey for what you get. For example, the beef dip sandwich was $24 and came with 2 or 3 slices of beef. It was far too thin for the price. The food did taste good, however.
Service wasn't great. We had to flag down our waiter several times because he rarely came by to check on us.

Had the pleasure of appearing at The Wheatsheaf this evening to promote their half price pizza on Tuesday night and fell in love with the place! Fun atmosphere and friendly staff, and the food was amazing! I never knew the were Toronto’s oldest pub - but after visiting I can see why they’ve been around so long.
Do yourself a favour and get out to the Wheatsheaf for food, drinks and a fun night out!

Came to this bar for karaoke, drinks and food. Left with such great memories!! The karaoke songs were decent but they don’t pick everyone in order. It’s a bit unfair but they pick you based on the songs or names. Which is odd but oh well. Everyone here was very uplifting and fun. Really helps the atmosphere. Drinks were great and so was the food. I got the mini veggie burgers. They were tiny but the burgers are actually so good, they are vegetarian which is great. Mozzarella sticks were really good too but you don’t get that many. Overall I would come again here for sure.

Live music was great!
I absolutely love coming to the wheat sheaf! The service is always great and the food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The pizza is one of the best in the city! They have live music on the weekends and karaoke night on thursdays which is so much fun! Definitely recommend it!!

Friendly staff, good beers on tap, excellent wings. Parking is limited so take transit, it's Toronto.
the place itself is great but ive been for the past 6 weeks and they keep letting this guy in who keeps threatening us and trying to get us kicked out.
just today i walked by him probably 3 times since he was standing by the washroom all night alone. then he went to staff to try and get us kickd out and they just got us to move,.
shout out to staf tjeu are good but visitors here suck]

‘‘Twas a fairly busy morning with Manchester vs Liverpool. Cathal our server was a rockstar! (hope I got the spelling right) He was the only one serving and pouring pints yet he was so attentive and friendly! The wings were excellent, juicy and crispy. 1 lb got us about 10 pieces or so but I was too hungry to take a pic before I dove in (can’t go wrong with half price wings on Sunday and Monday) Thank you for your great Guinness pours and a lovely experience Cathal!

I rarely leave negative reviews but sadly this place is leaving a bad taste and after seeing so many reviews with similar experiences and I decided to leave one. My question is, when did the Toronto oldest bar became TO most racist bar? I used to grab pints & food there but guess not anymore. My sister is visiting from out of town, went there last Sunday hoping to grab a pint or two but got turned away by a staff and was told that they only serve Canadians & don’t serve tourists (btw we’re POC). Luckily there are plenty of other pubs in the area & she was able to find a welcoming bar to go to.

I used to have a 5 star review here. After the reno and upgrade the place lost its image and appeal. Should of just remained a classic legendary wing joint something Toronto is in desperate need of.

Came to the bar for a bite to eat and to watch the Jays game - just didn’t feel welcome the entire time, had to ask for a menu at the bar, bartenders were too busy talking amongst themselves. Food was decent for pub food, but overpriced for what it is. To top it off we got told “just so you know when the Jays game is done we’re taking all the stools”. That’s nice, really made to feel welcome. We won’t be back, such a shame as this place is a part of our city’s history.

Sitting outside patio for the last 20 minutes. Provided a menu and drinks when we were seated. Have not seen anyone since. Can not comment on the food as we were not offered any but the service is as about as had as it gets
