Love this place, the Mokthuk reminds me of home. Will definitely be returning
Was good, service was stellar and food was great!!!
Lovely service! We tried the momo and coffee. Since it was our first time trying Tibetan food, they kindly explained everything to us, and the food was delicious
Highly recommend!
I had a life-changing, utterly divine hot and sour soup here. Absolutely amazing, sour, slightly spicy (for those with a high tolerance), and the tofu was perfection. I need to somehow recreate this soup because I don't live in Toronto 💔
This hot and sour soup changed my life. Hands down the best hot and sour soup that I have ever had.
I also recommend the butter tea! It's a savory tea, which was unexpected to be as a tea drinker, but it's perfect on a chilly day. My friend described it as having a slight cheese flavor.
Not great, there is more effort in how it's presented than in the recipe or quality? The food is as good as frozen dulmplings and preprepared meals
Really nice place to eat

I visited yesterday (Monday) and it wasn’t busy. I tried both the veg and chicken momos. The chicken momos were really delicious, especially with their hot sauce, while the veg momos were decent. The service was a bit slow, but overall, it was a good experience.
This restaurant is located in Kensington Market, so expect it to be busy on weekends. You can park in a Green P or another public parking lot. The washrooms are downstairs and quite small.
Vegetarian options: Most of the items in the menu are available as Veg options too.
Parking: Paid parking lot available nearby.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible.

A recent favorite dining experience. Thoughtful, culturally enlightening, with a taste of 3 different Momo and butter tea.
I met the owner (and Mom), and her son and we had a chat which I thoroughly enjoyed.
The son shared some Tibetan food cultural traditions - like "preserving life" where historically there was a preference for butchering a (large) cow versus several (small) chickens - so you were more likely to see Momo made with large animals like Cow, Yak, etc versus chicken momo or others made with small animals. "Sanctity of life"!
The son and mum also shared how they preserve their culture here through events - on Wednesday evenings, a tribute to the Dalai lama. Families and friends, and Tibetans who follow the Dalai lama's philosophies gather in community spaces to be together, dancing, singing, eating and more. They also shared a YouTube video - they have a little TV at the bar where I sat.
I learnt about their naming traditions too.
I enjoyed the cultural education as much, if not more than the food. I liked the butter tea, a touch salty, with a bit of body. I enjoyed the Momo as well

Food was good, both in quality & quantity. The steamed momos were very close to those that I have had amongst Tibetian families & eateries in Indian Himalayas. But, the icing on the cake was the Chicken Thupka that was better.
