I had a very disappointing experience at this store. The customer service is terrible — it feels like you’re being given things for free rather than paying for them. The older gentleman working there has an extremely rude attitude and made me feel very unwelcome. I would not recommend this place based on how poorly customers are treated.

This place it's so expensive, you can find the same items in the Nosso Talho that it's just a few minutes from there. Or just go to another latin store. Also just one person there it's kind, all the staff are rude.

This place is so judgy. You come in and immediately the staff here just stare at you and whisper to each other, thinking you can’t understand what they are saying. The food is extremely expensive for such bad quality and don’t get me started on the products… Family friends recently got attacked by the workers and ended up in the hospital with injuries. Just buy from small businesses instead of supporting this store. Not a safe and welcoming place.

Normally we like to support the little guy but unfortunately we can't give a good review. We were exited to see that Tierra Azteca still lists the Abuelita Chocolate syrup on their online store and though we don't live in Toronto, had friends visiting family in the area and they agreed to pick it up for us to save us the $15 delivery fee.

Unfortunately when they arrive, the order wasn't ready and after a number of calls, we found out that the order couldn't be fulfilled because they can't get the product. We knew it was being discontinued but we were hoping that since it was listed on their site that they has some still in stock, and therefore we had ordered 4 bottles. In most situations, things like this happen, they cancel the order, we get a refund, we move on.

However, when we had first called and they explained that they couldn't get it, they had told us that they would cancel it. A few weeks had gone by and no refund was issued so we called again to ask for a refund. Definitely something lost in translation as she had to use Google Translate over the phone but she kept telling us we had to come into the store for a refund (we live 4 hours away) or cancel online but couldn't tell us how. When we log in we can see our order as Pending but there is no cancel option on the website. We don't understand why they just can't cancel on their end and give us a refund but she couldn't do that.

The product we tried to order is still on their website so a bit of false information there, and if you do order it online, the only way to get a refund is to go in person even though their website says they will ship to anywhere in Ontario. Therefore any customer outside of Toronto that they service has the potential of getting cheated.

Products are covered in dust and everything is overpriced. Kensington is a better option.

The worst treatment you can receive as a customer, they have no education, even when you ask for things please. Your business is CUSTOMER SERVICE, by phone or in person….. lousy staff and treatment. You don't need many better places
