The restaurant is nice but the food was just not great for what you would expect at the Ritz. Great staff though.
I enjoyed having brunch with my family here. The service, food, and atmosphere is excellent. The overall experience at this place is great! I highly recommend to have brunch here.
We really enjoyed brunch at TOCA. There were so many people who took the to check on us and make sure we had everything we needed. The food was great and despite being a busy Saturday, the tables were spaced far apart and it was an enjoyable atmosphere.
The best Canadian breakfast I’ve ever had!
The pineapple juice tasted incredibly fresh, and the mint tea was served perfectly warm. I can’t believe I’m raving about jam, butter, and toast—but trust me, it was worth every penny. We didn’t even have to wait; we were ushered in right away, and the staff were so courteous. I’m definitely coming back next time for brunch and dinner.
My girlfriend and I went to TOCA yesterday for dinner to start off the long weekend. Here's my experience
1. The food is outstanding! We started off by sharing a salad, which was fresh and the raspberry vinaigrette gave a hint of a fruity flavor. I had a 12oz ribeye steak which came with mashed potatoes and veggies - everything was perfectly done. I asked for a medium steak and it came out medium, it was well seasoned and the mashed potatoes were smooth, without any lumps.
2. Service was really good - our waitress was always attentive and went with the flow. We didn't order drinks, not a problem. We also didn't have dessert, not a problem.
3. The unexpected surprise was the Manager (Zaki Mohcine) walking us through the cheese room and the kitchen. Since this was the first time my girlfriend has been to the restaurant, we decided to explore the temperature-controlled cheese room and before we knew it, the manager had joined us and gave us a 5-min walk through of the place, explaining where all the cheese is from and where all the balsamic vinegar is from. After dinner , we wanted to just peek into the kitchen, but Zaki invited us to meet the executive chef and we were also shown the chef's table (which you can book online for larger group experiences).
Overall, it was a wonderful time for dinner and would highly recommend. This is what I would expect from a restaurant that is associated with the Ritz Carlton.
We got the Ribeye and the Salmon - both absolutely delicious. You could taste every ingredient and flavour. The Insalata Mista had a very unique dressing that we loved. Exceptional service and attention to detail! We were well taken care of the whole time and felt very welcomed; thanks Zaki and Grace. Great ambience with chic interior, fresh flowers and a peek into the kitchen.
we love the ritz ❤️ food was excellent and the steak was cooked to literal perfection. everyone at my table enjoyed their main course. the cheese tray as an appetizer was just ok in my opinion. the warm bread was divine. drinks and specifically cocktails were yummy. tiramisu kept getting stuck in my teeth, oddly.
felt like the waiter was slow to service a big group - he both forgot to give me my menu AND forgot to bring me a steak knife. food did come fairly fast though.
i didn’t pay so i didn’t look at the prices but if i did id say the service could do better in matching them.
vibe was cozy but noisier than i anticipated and decor was nothing interesting.
The Ritz Carlton is a wonderful hotel and I wanted to share my experience at the restaurant on the 2nd floor Toca. The service was great and I liked the lighting and colours they used I felt like they hit the spot right in the middle where it isn’t too bright and it isn’t too dark. They have a cheese container they size of a walk in closet you can see where all there cheese is kept fresh, as well as cutting stations where you can watch prosciutto be prepped right in front of you. The food was delicious my only critique was the portions felt a little scarce but I must say their bread they brought out before the meal was delicious.
I paid $250 for the Easter buffet, but unfortunately, it didn’t feel like hotel-quality food at all. Overall, the dishes lacked depth of flavor and creativity. I especially wish the lobster had been served warm—it was disappointingly cold. The dessert section was particularly underwhelming; it felt cheap and uninspired.
Honestly, I’ve had better buffets at casual local restaurants—this didn’t meet any expectations for a 5-star hotel experience.
Server recommended specials (Ravioli) for lunch. Ravioli was partially cooked , cold and too much of oil in sauce . Ravioli has lack of seasoning and overall dish lacked balance. It was tough swallowing lunch . didnt expect this from such high end place.

Very flat flavours, could use more seasoning. Service was great however.
Not the best gastronomical experience you could find in the city, but the quality of their service, and their atmosphere is truly on point, especially given the price.
Resto inside the Ritz. Service is awesome. Staff are friendly and accommodating but the food was not worth the price. Great place to take someone for a first time experience but I doubt I'd repeat anytime soon.
The food was delicious and the service was incredible. I will be coming back. They were so accommodating to my mom in her wheelchair.
Had brunch and was one of the best eggs benni I’ve had
