Miserable cold salmon, little rice, super market miso soup and salad. Absolutely terrible

Lunchtime visit and greeted by friendly staff. Plenty of seating both with a view outside or in a quieter area. I noticed the staff speak Japanese. The menu is quite comprehensive and I went for the chicken katsu which came with rice and a salad. Where I was situated I could see the food go by and the tempura and Japanese curry looked good. My chicken katsu was pretty good. It was fine for a quick lunch. The prices are what I'd expect in the area. I noticed that you can purchase alcohol with your meal, either Japanese beer or inexpensive sake. The cafe was well maintained along with the washroom.

The food here was awesome. A friendly family style restaurant that offer decent Japanese cuisine with beautiful prices. Been there a few times. Strongly recommended everything especially the curry. But my favorite is bento box set🍱😋

Cozy dining space. Friendly staff. Nice homemade style menu offerings. Katsu was a little smaller than I’ve normally seen but for a $16.99 plate with salad it was a very fair portion. The curry sauce had bits of beef in it which made the dish even more hearty

the japanese curry here used to be outrageously delicious and i would come all the time just for it. went recently and they changed the recipe so it tastes less rich and more similar to the japanese curry tablets you get at the store :( still tastes pretty good but not like before. really hope they change it back!
otherwise service is always great and pricing is reasonable. their raw fish could be fresher, but their takoyaki and mochis are very very good

My daughter and I stopped by this place about 2 months ago and had Karaage & Assorted Tempura diner set.
We were so disappointed! Karaage was like little better version of
McDonald's chicken nuggets, Tempura batter was too thick, so it wasn't light and fluffy like Tempura should be...
OH, most upset thing was my bowl of rice! it was sooo dry couldn't eat at all!
We wasted our money for sure.
I literally can cook better than them so won't go back again!
Very disappointed.

Every year the portion of their food is getting smaller and smaller and quality has gone down significantly. I’ve been going to this place for about 5 years, probably won’t be back for a while.

Japanese run Japanese restaurant with fresh and delicious food. It’s not fancy by any means but the flavours are 10/10
