This is not our usual sushi spot, but we decided to try it out last month and... WOW! The food was delicious. I was also able to get gluten-friendly soya sauce. Bonus... their soft drinks are served in cans. My dining companions enjoyed their meals as well. The service was efficient and friendly. Would definitely go back!

It is a cozy nice Japanese food store. We visited here around 8:30 pm on a Friday night. The service was really nice specially a lady who seemed to be the store owner. We wanted to order sushi but they saud it's gonna take 30min or more so we ended up getting Chicken Katsu Don and salmon teryaki don. They were okay, nothing very special. The lady later explained kindly that their sushi chef was not on shift at that time. She ended up giving us some chocolate after finishing which was really nice.

I went for Valentine’s Day with my friend and when we proceed to order 2 sushi combos she told us she was going to ask the owner if it was okay because she claim we were not spending enough money and that it was an special day and they were full ( there was no line and there were still empty tables) so they needed us to order more. I never seen a small restaurant discriminated someone based on money .Unbelievable, never coming back.

I have been coming to Tokyo Sushi since 2007 when I was in undergrad at U of T, Victoria College, which is close by. This place started off as a tiny rectangular restaurant in the corner where the kitchen now is and has expanded a lot over the years. The service is GREAT! Jenny is so warm and kind and I always love seeing her when I come in : )
