JoJo was the most attentive and wonderful server. he made sure everything was perfect. Although the restaurant was busy, our food came quickly and was delicious. We had a great experience.

Excellent downtown location, walking distance from nearby Fairmont hotel. Food is on par with most chain restaurants across Canada. Great atmosphere and service. Can't go wrong with this place if you are looking to grab a drink and have a quick bite to eat

We were 3 people. I arrived a few minutes after the other two. I did not receive silverware nor a menu. The food was overpriced and not very good. My chicken club had one very small piece of chicken that was very dry The noise level was deafening. We couldn't hear each other speak. I feel the meal was overpriced based on the quantity of meat and the quality. We won't be back. Too $$ for mediocre food and extremely loud venue.

Great location. Servers and managers went out of their way to ensure our meals were the way we liked it. Fun atmosphere and fabulous staff including Claire, Emily and Abbey. And our actual server as well ( I'm sorry I forgot his name) with the best t shirt and customer service! Best place to watch many games at once! Can't wait to come back!

Had lunch on Monday. Given the location in the business district and the fact that many people only work 3 days a week the place was not busy. That being said the wait staff were very attentive and the food was quite good. The only problem was the noise level. The music was WAY too loud. With the patrons at about 15% capacity the noise was very distracting at times.

Both food and service were great. We found the music way too loud. It was difficult to hear each other speak at times. Considering this was lunch and not an evening party time, I personally would have preferred it to be a bit less intrusive.

1. I booked the appointment through Open Table and received a confirmation. Yet the host at the front said she did not find the reservation. 2. The host was not even welcoming. 3. The hosts inside were even colder and were avoiding our gaze while we waited to approach them to ask for a table. There was no feeling of genuineness. 4. We were seated in the lounge area with a small table. We asked to be relocated to wherever with a bigger table. The server was nice and warm. She called the hosts who came and looked annoyed as we said that we preferred to be seated in the dining area, which was after they suggested it. The hosts spoke very rudely. 5. We were seated in the dining area and noticed that it was predominantly occupied by white people. The treatment that they received versus ours (brown) was extremely noticeable. 6. After we finished our starters, all the dirty dishes were left on the table despite so many back and forths of the waiters. If was only after i requested for them to be cleared that one of them came forward. Again the way we were being spoken to was extremely uncalled for. 7. Our waited only tried to sweet talk me when it was time to pay the bill and of course for a tip. I have been going to this Toronto every time that i have been to Toronto and never had i received this kind of treatment. I even greeted all three hosts (2 inside and 1 outside) while leaving and the response was extremely cold. People working in this kind of places should be well chosen as they represent the face and voice of the company, which has been awful. Extremely disappointing

We love coming to Toronto Jack Astors on Front St. every time we have an event downtown. It was and is always amazing experience. With my husband being Vegan he was able to enjoy the food too. Guacamole was incredible!

It is one of my 'go-to' places, for locations, ambience, and convenience. The steak was as good as it was expected to be but somehow it was warm when it arrived at the table. The crab and lobster dip was nothing to write home about. The staff, as always, was very friendly, and always attentive.

We went here before a Leaf's game. Thankfully we went early as it got pretty busy. We had very good service and the food was great. The waitress overheard us talking about my son's birthday and brought him a complimentary brownie with a candle in it. That was very thoughtful. A convenient location and we would definitely return here again.

The Front St location is getting tired. There is a tendency to first put you at the back by the kitchen when using Open Table... just push for the spot you want. Nothing wrong with it, but have had better experiences here.

I went to J&A with a friend for a beer and snacks, during the evening. I had to waive for the waiter every time I need something even tough I left the green sign on. I ordered the chicken fingers, which was about the size of chicken breasts and taste a lot like vinegar. Regardless, thanks to the nice ambience and beer, I had a good time, but I'll definitely choose another place next time.

Love the ambiance; it is just bustling. Awesome service! Food was great; we all loved it. Myself I had the Garlic herb shrimp pasta; it was delicious ? Also the vanilla icecream was very yummy ? Am picky about my coffee and it too was good! We ladies will definitely be back if we are going to another show. And if we're on the road my husband and I will look for a Jack Astor's ?We mostly eat at home as we are older and have to watch the calories ? Like that they are listed. Keep up the good work ? ?

Service was prompt and courteous and food was yummy. I had the steak and it was perfectly prepared and my sister had the chicken fingers which are always good. Note: my sister is in an electric wheelchair and she could not be accommodated inside the restaurant because the lift was not working properly. We sat on the patio which was fine because the weather was nice but my advice would to check with the restaurant beforehand to make sure they can accommodate an electric wheelchair inside.
